I contribute to stopping snow by driving walkable distances and leaving the lights on. You can join the effort!
It's cold; it makes it harder to drive; I lost interest in building snowmen years ago; if school gets canceled because of it, I lose a day of Summer to make up for it.
And the one time I come up with an original idea for a charity event (building igloos for the homeless), I get laughed at.
Ok, it wont fucking stop snowing... which reminds me more of why I hate it.
It makes the air really dry and harsh, shoveling it as it is dumping all over the place (by the time I finished shoveling there was already an inch where I started), nobody wants to drive anywhere as I'm stranded across town, and it sticks all over and gets tracked inside leaving puddles by the door and, if someone forgets to take their shoes off, all over the house.

Snow is awesome: it saturates the ground, replenishing the water table significantly (much more than a heavy rainstorm), and can be stored for long periods into the spring. Snow is the reason that we have perennial and intermittent streams, especially the Yellow River in China, which used to be perennial, but now is intermittent due to over-irrigation. Every spring it is replenished, bringing water to numerous settlements along the Loess Plateau.
If you don't like snow where you live, then you have a few options. One, you can move to a warmer climate. Two, you can snowbird. Three, you can deal with it. It's not hard to move away for the winter, or hole up in your house so you don't have to go outside for a few months.
I live in the middle of North Carolina. We get hit by a hurricane every 5-10 years which causes some flooding and tree damage. We get hit by a severe ice storm every 10-20 years which causes severe tree damage and may prevent normal day to day life (because there's a tree in the yard). We get hit by a tornado every 10-20 years as well (but tornados are more like pin pricks rather than a real damaging storm). I live 4 hours from the beach (and outer banks) and 4 hours from the mountains. On average we get at least one snowstorm a year, although recently we've had winters with now snow. If it snows more than an inch, schools and businesses will be canceled for the day due to dangerous driving conditions (slush+ice rather than snow, which is easier to drive on). Not to mention, we get the benefit of lots of rainfall per year due to our proximity to the gulf of mexico (which is the whole reason that the midwest isn't a desert).
"Parliamentary inquiry, Mr. Chairman - do we have to call the Gentleman a gentleman if he's not one?"
k, today I rather liked the snow, cause the 5ish inches we've gotten here pretty much closed the uni. I couldn't help laughing at the fact that they let themselves stop by a mere 5 inches though.
I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.
snow is cool, but not if you have to ride the bike. -> cold, slippery, trousers can become dirty, my lock refuses to accept my key (just stops fitting into it)
It snowed yesterday. I was hoping the roads would freeze over so I could call out of work, but alas, it was not to be. I didn't even get a day off school.

Any snow in early December is a good snow, but a great snow gives me an excuse not to go to work. I played airsoft in the snow with some friends, so it was still pretty fun. Supposedly an inch fell, but I don't know about that.
