No mashed potatoes (unless they are saturated with butter and black pepper to hide that awful potatoey taste [EDIT: Oh, I was thinking of baked potatoes, which I mash the butter in to]). French fries as long as they aren't homestyle (taste too potatoey). Apples are alright, as long as they are not cooked. I like bananas, but the texture is weird so in like milkshakes and stuff is really good. Having grown up with them I do like onions as long as they aren't mushy (I basically like them only raw or fried). Cantaloupe was always my favorite fruit. I also do like lettuce, as long as it is the leafy part and not the bitter dirt-flavored light/white part... except I usually end up loading it with cheddar, ranch and croutons for a salad. No vinegar, no oil.
"I only drink milk, apple juice, pop, or water." Make that chocolate milk, and me too! Predominantly water -- actually, just this list but in reverse. The tap water at my parent's house is my preferred water, coming from the mountains and tasting better than most bottled water. Even though I live a little over a mile from that house I have a different water source here, so I have to use a filter. :\
I like plain pasta. For like a plate of spaghetti like a couple forkfulls of sauce is plenty for a bit of flavor, but I prefer it plain. Same with alfredo sauce (didn't used to like, but then I learned it was because people put way too much and it is good in a small amount). Mac&cheese is a staple. Perogies are awesome. The ones I don't get don't have black shit, they have cheese.
For any sandwich with mayo, get like a little bit on the knife and spread it out as thin as possible on the bread and then scrape the mayo back off the bread and use that for the other slice. Any more than that is way too much goddamn mayo. A similar amount of mustard is all that is acceptable. Ketchup is fine.
"When I eat chicken I disassemble the meat as much as I've disassembled StarCraft. ..." I agree, which is why I don't eat most meats (only the choicest selection of chicken breast that I have personally trimmed the hell out of). The rest of meats I don't like because of the flavor (pork & ham, turkey, and absolutely most of all fish which smells like stale urine and is absolutely nauseating to even be around). Chicken nuggets and stuff like that aren't good. Lunch meat isn't good. I do like shredded beef (it comes pre-disassembled and with all the fatty bits melted away!)
Peanut butter is a staple that I eat every day, but nothing else peanut-related. No nuts. I do like chili and baked beans and the like as long as there aren't like chunks of peppers or whatever. Cheese is good as long as it isn't too melty and isn't burned or crispy at all. Melty cheese on like pizza, nachos, or enchiladas is good. Having also grown up on Mexican food, I like enchiladas and spicy food, except for hot sauces which just taste like plain vinegar or tomato paste (all about proper salsas that don't have chunks of shit added in to them).
Not too picky about cereals, as long as there isn't shit like raisins or nuts added in. I prefer wheat cereals like wheaties, wheat chex, or grape nuts (with honey). I often times get fruity dino bytes or cocoa dino bytes.
For sodas I usually drink mountain dew or root beer. I don't like any colas (which are physically revolting .. I've tried drinking them when they were all there was and I had to like fight my throat and stomach just to keep them down, even when cupping my tongue so as to not taste it too much). Orange & citrus sodas (mountain dew, sprite, orange soda) are my favorites, despite hating actual citrus more than all other fruits (with the exception of grapefruit, which I do like with a bit of sugar).
Pizza rolls are disgusting, they have some weird bitter aftertaste after eating more than just one or two. xD
My daily diet is usually various grains (rice, oats, wheat, pasta, cereal), PB&Honey, mac&cheese, and chocolate milk. Sometimes I'll make chicken or something, but I usually don't want to have to deal with that.
As I get older I am more willing to eat more foods thought to be disgusting... Although it's usually either to not be rude if I'm at somebody's house or more as a means to reaffirm my dislike for things (how can I say I don't like something if I haven't eaten it since I was 8?). I don't want to be picky, it's just so hard not to be when things either feel or taste so wrong and un-food-like.
I'm excited for trying out soylent. If it's not bad then I won't ever have to think too hard about food again.
