So, a virus recently destroyed my SC DL folder, so now my library has a huge gap in it, and all I have is about a week's worth of maps (which isn't a lot considering the current state of Bnet), about 3/4th of the DLDB. I miss my folder because of the variety of maps in it. It also got me thinking: What are other people's DL folders like? What percentage of those maps are defense? How many versions of each map are there? Your thoughts, SEN?
Generalpie, you should add a thing to your thread, requesting people post their download folders. They can use
http://www.filedropper.com/ to upload them. That way you can fill your download folder back in.
Also, may I have your DL folders
for my personal consumption for research?

None.
I can give you mine, but I only have two versions of BPM, Diplo World, and A Clash of Kings.

Really? You don't have your map folder from the BSCII era?
None.

I've formatted a number of times since then, and I don't save my entire download folder (although in retrospect, perhaps I should have).
Anyways, this is my current download folder:

This is my Premium Maps folder, it has what I consider SEN's greatest hits.
http://www.mediafire.com/?6nc0n9nbghoaov1Mostly RPGs.
Back in my prime, I had a huge selection of SC and BW maps. I had to organize each game-type into categorized folders for easy browsing.
From Bounds to Defenses, Melees to ToS, Movies to RPGs, you name it, my StarCraft downloads folder was the heart of my computer.
However, it was all lost long ago when I too was corrupted by some godawful virus. Fortunately, I saved the majority of my works and even a few of my favorite maps, but some of those lost maps can never be replaced again. It is quite sad, really.
Anyone got Frozen Walk RPG? The File Request Thread has yet to answer me...
None.

Haha, now that I have a full fledged DSL internet access you shall have my mess of a download folder. Gonna edit the link to dropbox in this evening.
Also why you guys keep no backups? I mean nowadays where many people have moved on, I can understand it, but back in the golden age of sc I regarded my download folder as one of my most valuable digital possesion. (Maybe because I didn't own a digicam and thus had only few personal pictures.)
Because I have other things to worry about than maps on a game. It just wasn't ever a big deal for me.
Mine only has ~137MB, so it isn't very useful to anyone.
My maps folder in general, on the other hand, is 13GB, which pales in comparison to my voice acting archives of 60GB and my video archives of 145GB, all for StarCraft.

I didn't have anything to back it up, and I had been using the same comp for about 6 years, and I kept it in very good condition (never had to restore it once). Then, someone's computer on my network (probably my mother's) got infected by a worm.

I gave you my list, as my computer crashes everytime I try to load all my maps into Mediafire in one day, please PM me which folders you would like, so I can prepare them for you separately. (P.S. Sorry for the wall of stuff above again.) ¯'-._.-'¯ = Spacer between Folders, as to reduce confusion between them.

An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death
Roy's Maps (Because he's that awesome): 46 maps
Though half of them are just bounds. You might have a more complete collection of my work than I do!
My DL folder back in the day would have been 90% bounds, because that was the genre I enjoyed and was skilled at. A peek at my downloads folder now shows concept maps, EUD maps, and works-in-progress from other people (who were either just showing off or, more commonly, having a bug that they want my help with). Nothing too exciting (except for me! Ooh, EUDs!
) and mostly stuff I probably don't have permission to share.
@Neko, Mind if I have a zip file of everything? :3
None.
Currently updating my current RPG folder with any that I might've missed. Will post link in an Edit eventually.
Edit: RPG's Folder:
