So, fry sauce is ubiquitous. Everyone knows what it is. Everyone. It's some mixture of like, I don't know, ketchup and mayonnaise and mustard or something?
Except I learned a few years ago that, supposedly, that's not true, and apparently it's pretty uncommon outside of Utah and some other states. Which I, and most people I know, find hard to believe or at least imagine. Yet people I've asked from other places are usually at best vaguely aware of it.

Fry sauce is a regional condiment served with French fries. It is usually a simple combination of one part ketchup and two parts mayonnaise. When spices and other flavorings are added, it is similar to—but thicker and smoother than—traditional Russian dressing and Thousand Island dressing. In the United States, Fry sauce is commonly found in restaurants in Utah, as well as available by mail-order. Occasionally other ingredients such as barbecue sauce are substituted for ketchup, and other variations (created independently of the Utah version) exist outside of the United States.

I live in British Columbia, Canada so I've never heard of it, and I've never seen a dip with a different name with the same concept either.

I do believe that anyone who hasn't an objection to eating the individual ingredients of mayo (vegans, perhaps?) or ketchup should try fry sauce.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.
In my German Burger King "Fries Sauce" is mayonnaise (it's in their product list in the restaurant... but the personal didn't know what it was when I said it's "real" name. everyone else would have said mayonnaise {except me because I found the name in the product list on the wall})...
I've had that sort of sauce before but I didn't know that it was ketchup and mayonnaise mixed.
Anyway, I prefer mayonnaise on my fries. Ketchup is for meat.
