Not yet, I had an issue with finances. Those are taken care of and I'll be attending pretty soon. I live near the campus and room with students of DigiPen though, so I know a lot about the school anyways.
None.
Dual focus in CS and Software Engineering.
My degree is a joke; my program will probably be losing accreditation shortly or I lose what little faith I had left in public education.
Are you planning on staying on your programme or are you thinking of changing it? What motivates people to do a degree they don't think will give them the best cahnces in the future? Quite a few peopple I know back from home (Latvia) went to absolutely shit unis/degrees knowingly, even though better options were right in front of them. Have you decided on this because it's state-funded?
In the US it's a lot more about having a degree than having the actual skills, at least for a decent amount of jobs. It's a pathetic system, but that's how we operate.
I didn't really have any other interests until halfway through college and I didn't think it was worthwhile to change majors at that point. At my school, though, I don't really have much faith in any of the programs and so switching majors wouldn't have done me any good except maybe make doing work more enjoyable. I'm a senior now who's two classes from getting my degree so I'll stay with it. I might even end up getting my masters in CS (one more year) from here as well just because I may/may not have a solid job offer lined up if I can prove myself capable. It's not exactly hard to distinguish oneself at my university.
I had a sizable scholarship offer to a much better school but it still would've ended up costing me about $100,000 USD over 4 years, so I decided to go where I'm at for free. I do regret it because the past few years have been a complete waste of time (socially as well as intellectually), but really I'm just hoping that I find an interesting job that's willing to train me/let me train myself in whatever they need. Even now the only other things that interest me are journalism, teaching, and political science but none of them pay all that well. At this point in my life I think I'd be willing to endure a not-so-fun job that gives me security, at least for a few years. Who knows, from there.

There's architects.
There's everyone else.
Enough said.

Architects are just engineering wannabes. Admittedly, they want it enough to be almost as good.

Oh you have no idea what we do.
I'd only mildly respect civils at certain point which are the only engineers that can manage a project. That said, They'd do a complete mess regarding programming, logistics, PR, etc.
Being an engineer nowadays does not mean what meant during the industrial revolution back in the XVIII century. Get over yourself. In contrast of that, being an architect has always been a higher standard. We dictate where engineers should go. All the engineering projects and wonders you've seen have been because at some point architecture had something to do with it.
tl:dr, engineers suck, your chosen engineering sucks even more.
I wouldn't expect someone that hasn't even started college to understand, though
Also, I officially hate voy for hating on artists

Here's a funny anecdote: an architect built the house my boyfriend lives in. He didn't know his shit, so he used the wrong type of foundation, so there will always be cracks in the ceilings and stuff because the ground moves too much for the material of the foundation

Engineers develop all the technologies that architects use. QED.

Artists are people that can't make up their mind and try to make an excuse for it.
Civils suck, engineers suck.

Also, I don't believe in "changing degrees is completely normal" not a third world reality anyway.
I believe in people making responsable, proper decisions and studying something they like. Obviously if they don't do it they drop out or switch which is just a waste of money and resources. People also shouldn't be forced to study X thing, aka, parents forcing you to go to med school and whatnot. However, that's obviously not how everyone in the world works.

Agreed, Corbo. I thought it was rather odd. Changing paths completely is rendering several years of work, thousands of dollars, and a significant portion of your lifetime fruitless. Why not just... make a good decision from the start? : /
None.
It is extremely odd after the first year or so. Usually those classes - at American Universities - are required by all degrees...such as entry level english, electives, and math.

Oh, so just a small change. I myself can change to an Electrical Engineer or some other engineering discipline, but I don't think I can transfer into Architecture or Art if I wanted to. If it's before the 2nd year, I suppose, it's alright.
None.
An architect can't put an airplane in the sky or build a computer, put a man on the moon or a satellite in orbit which runs all your cell phone and internet data, or design the cell phone that we need the satellite for. They can't design an assembly line to build cars, they can't improve the fuel efficiency of a vehicle, they don't design new ways to increase farming output or new materials like carbon fiber. There's due credit for Architects for putting up our houses and buildings, but Engineering is a very broad term. Therefore, Engineering > Architecture
Maybe Architecture > Civil Engineer, idk for sure.
None.
Just here for the activity... well not really
I might get an Economics degree... or should I go with Accounting?
