Back* from the grave

Alrighty, this topic stems from yet another shoutbox talk. SEN, I'd like to know how your eyesight is. If you've had vision tests, such as the Snellen Chart, you aught to know at least if you have "normal" (20/20) vision, better than "normal" is 20/(x<20) [such as 20/10], and worse than "normal" is 20/(x>20) [such as 20/30]. Problems, such as color blindness, myopia, etc. can be included as well.

For myself, I have a slight myopia, and approximately 20/45 in my left eye, 20/50 in my right eye. That roughly means that I see stuff at 20 feet away that people with "normal" vision see at 45 feet away, with my left, and 50 with my right.

I don't know the 20/x of my vision, but I know both my eyes are the same.
Also when looking at this ... My contact prescription is -6.5D (meaning my eyes see a little more than twice as blurry as the 3D in that image.) and even when wearing contacts my vision still is rather blurry ... It's difficult for me to see my digital clock's display from across my room.

EDIT:
I looked it up. Apparently there is no real conversion between diopter and 20/x, but research has told me that my eyesight is somewhere between 20/800 and ~20/1200 (the chart stopped at -6.0, indicating 20/800.)

>be faceless void >mfw I have no face

I'm short-sighted, with astigmatism in both eyes IIRC. I can see about half a meter accurately, beyond that I can see OK but blurry. Sort like an out of focus camera. I have glasses but only wear them when watching TV (not often).

Red classic.

I like to tell people I have amazing vision, I can see things extremely far in the distance and extremely close up and everywhere in between.

Still Napping

I have shit vision, sort of. I guess it isn't very bad, I don't necessarily suffer without glasses, I just can't read far away stuff.

Que Sera, Sera.

I can't read/see shit far away. I wear glasses all the time. I don't know the exact stats or whatever of them though.

Just here for the activity... well not really

20/n is such a confusing scale... I go by prescription power
-9.5 and -9 sphere + -.75 cylinder (astigmatism), giving me a hard time looking for a good pair of contacts

I know my contact perscriptions are -5.50 right eye and -5.75 left eye, which is apparently really bad. My vision starts to get blurry 1 foot from my face.

So I'd say I'm like, 20/400, with astigmatism.

I'm pretty sure the person with the best eyesight on earth couldn't read that. They're so small the letters are pretty much pixels. I guess I am the gay.

I voted worse
I can only see stuff near to me.
I wear hard contact lenses.

That's the point of the code attached. Even copy+pasting into irfanview and zooming in only gives you pixels.

My eyesight is worse. Im guessing most of the people here have bad eyesight because we spend too much time on the computer. :bleh:

Jeeze, no wonder there's a stereotype of geeks being glasses-wearing.

So far I'm the only one who's voted 20/20.

Just Here For The Pie

I am going to go with 20/20 as I do not recall what I got on my last sight test, but I see clearly when driving or reading.
I do not need glasses, and hope I never will.

I will sometimes read things backwards first, though. Not exactly sure why.
I only do it when reading aloud, and what I am reading aloud it shorter than three to four words.

Is the first in diopters, do you know? If so, then damn. D: Make mine look good.

:( I'd give anything to even see a foot in front of me. I can only see 2.5 inches from the bridge of my nose. Any closer and my eyes can't focus, any further and it gets blurry. Though, when I'm working on things that are really small and delicate I'll push my contacts out of the way (or remove one entirely) and I can see small things in very sharp detail. :P If I don't have my contacts in, it is nearly impossible for me to read some printed things because all I see is thousands of colored dots.
