OVERWATCH STATUS GO

I don't know how long it will take. :/ I started doing it a long time ago, and Kame even tried porting a bunch over. I have no idea how many are left to bring over yet, though. At this rate, the redundant link will never be removed. :-(

I'll take a look at what has been brought over already and if there isn't much left, I'll port it, and if there is a ton left, I'll just change the SC1 link.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

I searched all forums with the terms
black screenshot
and I killed SEN with it. The page didn't answer for a few minutes and then I got the old "mysql server gone away" error message.

Back* from the grave

Alrighty, I've got a conundrum. I've got an apng avatar to my left, and yet it is decidedly not animated. I had uploaded the same exact file to tinypic, so I know it's not a browser issue. I vaguely remembered rockz making an apng avatar forever ago, so I looked up his file. Turns out, his is below the default SEN avatar size limit (20kb for his file, I believe), while mine is at 32.5kb (still 2.5kb below my personal limit).

So I'm a bit lost here; the only difference between my current, static apng file and the one I had uploaded to tinypic is where the file is hosted. Although it appears my image is not animated simply because it's larger than the 25kb default size, I'm not positive that's the issue. One quick test should verify it though.

Actually, nevermind. Apparently all I had to do was start to type a damn bug report and it decides to work. Seriously, I had cleared my cache so I no longer saw the old question mark, but it wasn't until I went to upload a two-frame apng that it decided it wanted to work for my 6-frame one...

Back* from the grave

Once again, I broke SEN's code in the signatures.

Code
[font=optima][size=size][align=center][url=legit link][color=color of the underline][u][color=color of the text]butchered text[/color][/u][/color][/url][/align][/size][/font]

This breaks the legit link into a link that points to " file://"<legit url>\\" " in the preview, and " http://www.staredit.net/"<legit url>\" " elsewhere. Ignoring the less than and greater than symbols, and assuming the legit url is something like google.com, it'll obviously take you nowhere near what your link should point to. Yes, the blue was colored on purpose, to indicate that the quotation marks are definitely included. Visually, it looks fine however; the optima text at the specified size, and color, with the specified URL underline color.

This isn't the first time I've posted about this exact problem. So can we possibly get a damn fix for it that doesn't require the user to make an image(s) of the text and wrap the image(s) in url tags? It's absolutely retarded that url tags cannot handle tags operating on them.

You're talking about the wiki, right? What's left to move over? If I remember correctly, cecil sent me a link of the wiki articles that needed moved, but I thought I moved all of that. If there's something else I could do let me know.

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

Yeah, he probably sent you a much shorter list. I ended up bringing over the remaining 90 or so articles a week ago. http://www.staredit.net/341318/ has a list of the last 12 articles that need to go over. Most of them are longer and I just didn't have the stamina to deal with them yet.

As for the link issue, it seems like the problem is having too many tags outside the link. If you do something like:
Code
[font=Optima][url=http://www.google.com][align=center][size=18][color=#CE091D][u][color=#DFA51C]butchered text[/color][/u][/color][/size][/align][/url][/font]

Then you get:
butchered text

DevliN, I know. I already posted it before, and even posted that the problem was the number of tags operating on the url text. Still, nothing gets done.

Dec 5 2012, 4:11 am DevliN Post #1729

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

My point is that it still works with that many tags as long as they're all in the URL. I'm trying to provide an easy solution now given that we don't have an active coder to fix this immediately. :/

Sorry, didn't realize the difference. And yeah, it is a quick fix even in the signature area, which somehow parses code differently; paste
Code
[font=optima][size=12][align=center][url=http://www.staredit.net/topic/2177/unread/#special][color=peachpuff][u][color=dodgerblue]tehehehe?[/color][/u][/color][/url][/align][/size][/font]

into the shoutbox area, then compare with:

Edit: Woops, I lied, I thought it did. Maybe it used to? :ermm:

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

Similar to my prior post, if you put everything but the font tags in the url area, it works.
tehehehe?

Code
[font=optima][url=http://www.staredit.net/topic/2177/unread/#special][size=12][align=center][color=peachpuff][u][color=dodgerblue]tehehehe?[/color][/u][/color][/align][/size][/url][/font]

I don't know if this has been mentioned before - but I noticed that Azrael has the most recent post in Lite Discussion, and yet it shows Sand Wraith as the most recent post even though it is several days old.

Feb 23 2013, 4:58 pm iCCup.xboi209 Post #1737

I suggested this a while ago and I'll suggest it again, SEN is using jQuery 1.3.2 which is highly outdated, it should start using 1.9.1 hosted on a CDN(http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.9.1/jquery.min.js). I made a jsperf test to show off how much faster using 1.9.1 vs 1.3.2
http://jsperf.com/dh-jquery-1-4-vs-1-6/39

If anything becomes broken after switching over to 1.9.1, try using the jQuery Migrate plugin: http://code.jquery.com/jquery-migrate-1.1.1.min.js

SDE, BWAPI owner, hacker.

Opening links in a new tab from the forum/topics list don't work correctly.

Middle mouse button = open link in new tab AND change current one
Ctrl+click = same as above

I don't want to change my current tab, that's the whole point of opening links in a new tab.

That's actually a bug with the browser. There's an extension to fix it here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/middle-button-new-tab/ikbkhpkapkmhaoiabhlkmicpeakhhpip

It could probably be fixed on Sen's side, but until then...

Nope.

The problem is that someone put an "onclick" handler on the forum-topic table cells, which forces the browser to navigate. This is redundant (because there's already a link in the cell) and bad (because it causes bugs like this one). The middle-click on the link in the table cell opens the link in a new tab (as it should), but also changes the current tab (due to the JavaScript handler).

Saw reports of this a long while ago, and recommended that someone strip off that event handler. Which wasn't done... :\
