How to make add-ons work singly without any mother-building like a comsat without CC ? I saw that in some maps like Vulture Control or Micro Vul, the machine shops work properly without any factory.
And there is another problems about trigger: My plan is when the game start, the current player will be given all buildings and add-ons (all add-ons of Terran) from another Neutral player. My trigger:
Players: Current Player
Conditions: Always
Actions: Give All [any unit] owned by (Neutral player) at (Location) to Current Player.
Then: all buildings of neutral player were given to current player, but add-ons still not ! Someone can help me about this, thank you very much ! I just don't want to make series of trigger like "Give all machine shops..." or "Give all comsat stations...", but if it's the only way, so no choice.
None.
Preplace them in an editor other than StarEdit (SF, SCMD, XTra maybe). If you can set the player of them, make sure it isn't 12.

You cannot give addons. Every addon that is not attached to the mother building goes to neutral. And if a building is attached the addon always has the same owner. Giving the mother building automatically gives the addon too.
However you can preplaced addons for other players than Neutral. Those will not go neutral.
You can give them if they are attached... I think you may even be able to give pre-placed/pre-owned ones, but I'd need to test it.

I mean my add-ons (without mother-building) dont have abilities, like comsat station does not have scanner sweep ability. For example, in Vulture Nightmare (Beta6.1) , the machine shop without any factory attached to it, still have Ion Thrusters. My trigger is purposed to give add-ons from a player to another one, which have available abilities (as NudeRaider said, it's not available to do that)
Thanks for replies anyway.

Nope. Don't bother testing
Uh, I would assume that the add-ons are preplaced for the specific player. This is just a guess, but you could use "Set Doodad State" to enable them without the building attached, if they don't already work preplaced.
You would have to create the building in order to change ownership. What you could do is have the machine shops in a corner or something (not sure how you'd hide them) and then move them to the location you want it to appear to be "giving."

Set Doodad State doesn't do anything to them, they're just stuck as Player 12 if they started with an attached building, however, the preplaced ones don't need an attachment, but they cannot be given with triggers.

if you aren't able to give them like everyone has been saying, i would pre-place one for each player in a hidden location on the map, some where the player cant access it. you could achive this by turning off vision for current player and share with a computer, or hide them under a sprite or somthing of that nature.
then when you want to give it to player x do this
Actions
-Move all "Addon" for player y from "Addon Location" to "Addons Storage"
-Move 1 "Addon" for player x from "Addons Storage" to "Addon Location"
player x being the one who is having the addon given to him for use
player y being the one who previously owned it
im pretty sure its possible to have them function alone cause i've seen it also
and if you can open the map you saw it in, then find what they do to the addon to enable it or whatever

Set Doodad State doesn't do anything to them...
Enable Doodad State, you mean? You can disable them, which has similar results to disabling a Firebat and the like.
