My Responsibilities as Host1. I will try to post the game post at the deadline. If there are last-minute developments (e.g., a night hit change right before night ends), this is an impossibility, and I'll get it posted as soon as it is ready.
2. I will not comment on the state or progress of the game as it is running.
3. I will not comment on players in regards to the game (e.g., calling someone "mafia scum" in jest) as it is running.
4. I will not post confirmations on any claim made by a player in the thread or other areas of discussion after the game has started.
5. I will clear up any confusion with the rules only if necessary. I will clear up any confusion with your role privately on request.
6. I will not take suggestions from players once the game has started, and the performance of the teams will not impact the mechanics of my game.
My Past GamesRoy's Mod Mafia: Game 1, Game Over: Mafia VictoryRoy's Mod Mafia: Game 2, Game Over: Town VictoryHow Mafia Works01. Roles are assigned by Random.org.
02. Mafia know mafia. Townsmen are ignorant.
03. The game alternates between day and night (game time, not real time). The intro covers the first day (see previous games on how this works), and the actual game begins at night.
04. Players may communicate in whatever way they like. Feel free to lie, cheat, and trick people in order to come out on top.
05. The game is intended to be won via behavioral analysis, special roles, and praying a lot.
06. If you have a role with an ability, you get to use it during the Night cycle. The Night typically belongs to the Mafia.
07. During the Day cycle, you get to vote. The Day typically belongs to the Town.
08. The Town's winning condition is when all Mafia players have been eliminated.
09. The Mafia's winning condition is when the Mafia team's vote total for the Day exceeds the max voting capacity of the remaining Town. This condition is candidate-agnostic, and will be satisfied even if the Mafia all abstain or get one of their own lynched.
10. Intentional and explicit violation of any rules will result in an instant kill, as well as a ban from my next game. Ignorance of the rules will not excuse you from this.
11. To sign-up, just say something indicating your will to play in the thread. You will be added to the next available slot in the player list.
12. Once activity checks are issued, sign-ups are closed. The speed of responses from activity checks will determine how long the initial game cycles are.
13. Failure to respond to the activity check in time will result in a glorious death in the intro post.
14. After activity checks, roles are distributed and the game is considered to be started.
15. By signing up, you agree to play by the rules and spirit of the game.
16. It's the player's responsibility to make their votes and actions clear to the host. A missed/uninterpreted vote or action will not be counted if the respective game post has already been made.
17. Your role will be revealed when you die. Additionally, everyone's roles will be revealed when the game ends.
Clues1. There will be clues in this game that point to members of the mafia.
2. Clues will primarily be based on immutable details relating to the player to which it refers.
3. Clues will have a balance between difficulty of solving and ambiguity. That is, an easier clue will be less convincing through ambiguity, and a harder clue will be less convincing through the means of reaching the conclusion.
4. The average clue in this game is aimed to be more difficult than those from a typical game.
