An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death
Why did people start voting for me? Maybe I don't want to be mayor.

Anyway, there's no obvious pattern I've recognized from the voting process, although I had strong feelings during the beginning of it. This either means the mafia has discussed enough to prevent a predictable election pattern, or what I was noticing wasn't necessarily a pattern.
My main concern from the last mayor election was that two mafia members would become the competing bandwagon. This game, Azrael and myself are the two optimal choices. What you
should have done was gone back to
http://www.staredit.net/topic/12128/ and checked our behaviors from that electoral process.
Azrael's past behavior (He was mafia): He was selling his vote. He didn't seem interested in being elected mayor.
Roy's past behavior (I was town-aligned): I nominated myself for mayor. I got no votes.
Azrael's current behavior: He seems more invested in becoming mayor, perhaps because he's in the running. He is not voting for his opposition, further supporting his eagerness to become elected.
Roy's current behavior: I did not even request to become mayor. I suddenly receive multiple votes and am in the running.
Since Azrael is behaving completely differently than when he was mafia-aligned, it would be a fair assumption to say he is town-aligned this game. Since I am behaving completely differently than when I was town-aligned, and I received a mysterious bandwagon, it would be a fair assumption to say I am mafia-aligned. Did
anyone notice this and consider it in their voting choice?
We know the mafia would want one of their own to be elected mayor. Which one of us, if not both, would you think is mafia? The historical evidence suggests that Azrael would be a safer choice. That being said, I'm concerned about voting for him, since I know that I am town-aligned.
Also, Azrael, you said that if you became mayor, you'd share information with the guards. For clarity's sake, let me say that you aren't told who your bodyguards are, so they wouldn't be officially "confirmed townies" to the mayor.
Edit: I'm still in class; I'll have more time in an hour or so.
