We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Let me show you how to hump without making love.

Galaga is the oldest game I have been playing the crap out of. It's just so fun regardless.

I have the first .hack game. I enjoyed it a lot, but I wish it really was an MMO. :(

I haven't played any "old" games in a while. Everything has been from the PS3 generation onward.
They did make one and it was extremely popular with the fans. However, it did not bring in an additional audience and got similar or lesser reviews in comparison to the four-part series. It used the same engine as the PS2 series and the same story, just replaced your character with Kite. It had a lot of additional features similar to other MMOs (guilds, party, friends list, community boards, etc). It was literally taking the fake MMO and made it real if you desired or you could play it offline.

HOWEVER, they took down the servers after two years and the only reason they stayed up that long was because it still had a dedicated player base. It never had plans to be released outside Japan and was only made to see how players would take to the game.

If you want to look it up, it was called .hack//fragment

Nox.
fuck yeah.

I reinstalled this a few days ago. gave up on it and started another Baldur's Gate game though. I played duke nukum for a little bit too, but got bored again.

And of course minesweeper.
Finally someone who actually knows what Nox is. That game should have been a serious rival for D2. God damn Westwood servers. Still think its PVP shat over everything D2 provided. Awesome single player campaign too. All it was missing was a huge array of items.

I know what nox is.

First time I got that fist spell, I shat myself it was so epic.
Didn't beat the game though.

I have a nice pack of Infocom games, from the 1970s and 1980s, lying around on my hard drive, which I still pick up occasionally when I'm in the mood for that kind of thing. I also play lots of games from the 1990s (probably more than I do from the 2000s), but those are relatively new by comparison...

Age of Empires II. Finally bought the game recently and I played the demo twelve years ago. Otherwise, I would say Doom or Wolfenstein 3D, but I played them not too long ago.
