Of course there are "better" candidates (ranging from 0-1 million times better) for any "Person of the Year" award, but the whole point of this is to see in you people's opinions who of the given choices would be more deserving of it. In fact, you can think of this more as a "who do I like more/hate least," "who do I think is a better person of the three," or even better "who is the lesser of the three evils." I saw this on ESPN and thought it would be fun/interesting to see how a different (ostensibly vast) audience would vote. Stop taking ~~life~~ these polls so seriously.

LeBron James is a basketball player, and I have no interest in basketball. That's him out.

Lady Gaga is certainly the most notable out of the three and certainly knows what she is doing with regard to the way she plays the public.

I find Sarah Palin's political views repulsive and she seems to be sharing a single brain cell with Michelle Bachman and other prominent Tea Party sympathisers. I'm sure she would be pleasant to know and maybe even quite fun, but I can't look past the politics.

Guess I'm voting Gaga.

Guys, I'd like to change my vote. Although Palin is a scumbag, she still has done something extremely admirable. Rather than take peoples money and use it to her advantage, she took peoples money and used to to nobody's advantage (bridge to nowhere). Very praiseworthy.

It pisses me off that sheeple consistently misquote this. You're being led as mindlessly as her supporters if you continue to get information from secondary sources. Take a half hour, at the very least watch the series of Couric interviews, and actually get a bit informed.
