Riney, who hadn't even shown up for any town meetings, let alone discussions, had to die. However, he wasn't even within the town's borders, having tried to flee. A search party was dispatched to apprehend him and return him to Lilville for his death sentence. Upon his capture, Riney didn't even react. No words, no actions, he just gave himself up.
Riney was brought up to the lynching stage and the crowd lusted for Mafia blood to be spilled. This time, things were done a bit differently. A cross was erected on the stage for a crucifixion and Riney's nonreactive body was nailed to it, with blood dripping from each area of his body that was nailed. Riney still had no reaction, most likely unaware that he was dying. Out of nowhere the booming voice of lil-Inferno's spirit thundered down from a celestial plane.
"ENOUGH, LET ME FINISH THIS FOR YOU, AND ALLOW IT BE A WARNING TO ALL WHO ARE INACTIVE! Also, checkmate atheists." lil-Inferno boomed as he coursed extreme-voltage electricity throughout Riney's body, depriving him of existence aside from the lifeless mound of ash motes he had transmogrified into.

He said there will be no clues identifying Mafia. I think what poison is getting at is that perhaps he's giving clues to whether or not we got a lynch correct, assuming that the Beguiler can change the role on death.

So does that mean you're going to arbitrarily kill inactive players in addition to any lynching / night kills that occur?
Not necessarily. If it's blatantly obvious that they haven't been active for a few cycles then I'll probably do so, but in the case of Riney's death it was purely to make it a more interesting execution.

Sacrieur was up late at night doing last minute tests with his new time travel machine. An armed man shot down the door hinges to Sacrieur's basement and pointed his shotgun at Sacrieur, who was in the process of doing what no man before him had done - manipulate time. Light blue ellipsoids oscillated around the machine, which was producing a discordance of whizzing, whurring, and buzzing. A blindingly bright light flashed, and moments later Sacrieur became a delicious and fluffy pancake, which the armed man proceeded to consume.
Meanwhile, a deceitful man that had tricked everyone now walked the streets without fear of discovery. He patted the deadly device inside his bag, the two escorts with him unaware of his true motives.
