I don't think you understand that I have just been notified after ~15 years of doing things easily in a certain way, that my way is wrong. 24 / 4 * .25 != 24 / 4 / 4 makes complete sense to me. It doesn't to you because you weren't taught that way.
Holy hell, Vrael.

What the hell... BEDMAS? How about the normal PEMDAS. Parentheses, exponent, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction. In that order.

So depending on the algorithm the calculator is using you will get 48/24 or 24*12. The math problem is poorly written. You're supposed to use parentheses to denote the order of operations. A well written problem would be more like 42/(2(9+3)).
The math problem is poorly written...

lolol
Admins, u should've kept this thread closed...

btw.. the difference is pretty much whether you interpret the question as...

(48/2)*(9+3)
or 48/(2*(9+3))

Except that mathematical convention doesn't leave it up to interpretation. The answer is 288.

It's not poorly written, math is pretty explicit. There are no parenthesis, so you don't put parenthesis there. Finito.

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
[2024-5-06. : 12:51 am]
Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
