** Rules **
- General -
1. Players receive roles when the game starts.
2. Roles are assigned by Random.org.
3. Mafia know who the other mafia are. Townsmen do not know who anyone else is.
4. The game alternates between day and night (game time, not real time). The game begins at night.
5. Dead players and non-players may post, but may not affect the game in any way. I will have DevliN or another admin delete game altering posts by the deceased.
6. Banned players may not post.
7. One may not request or volunteer screenshots, videos, quotes, etc. of another role screen or someone's password via the thread, a PM, or any other method. The game is intended to be won via behavioral analysis and special roles. Any other method of sharing your role PM falls under the 'etc.' category and is against the rules. Basically, you cannot give absolute and total proof of your role unless you are dead.
- Night -
1. This is the time that Mafia are allowed to place hits.
2. If you have night actions, you may also use them at this time.
3. Night has a time limit set by the host. Once night is over, a report is posted.
Note: To send a night action, PM it to me in the following form:

- Day -[/size]
1. All players gather for a "town meeting" to discuss amongst themselves who might be Mafia.
2. Every player may place a vote to select a player to be lynched and killed off.
3. Players may abstain in order to be accounted for, but not vote.
4. You must place your vote in this topic. Please state it in "I vote X" or similar fashion and make it easily visible. And make it large. And colored brightly.
5. You cannot vote for dead people or people not playing.
6. If a 2-way tie happens, both parties are lynched. (In a 3-way or 4-way and so on, no parties are lynched)
7. You may change your vote until the day is over.
8. The lynched alignment(s) and role(s) are revealed upon death.
- Victory -
1. The day and night cycles repeat until one side is victorious.
2. The town wins when all mafia have been killed.
3. The mafia wins when their votes outnumber the townspeople's max vote capability on any given day. For 1-to-1 cases, mafia wins.
4. A third-party fulfills it's desires.
- Signing Up -
If the game has not started, you may sign up by posting in this thread and I will add you to list. The max amount of players is 100, just cause.
Take note of the following:
1. I will be playing the role of God. Divine lightning bolts may ensue if the rules are violated.
2. If you won't play without a special role, don't play at all. If you won't contribute anything to the town, don't play at all. Useless and inactive townies ruin everything.
3. If you plan on being away from the game for more than 3 days at a time during the game, please tell me before you do so.
4. You can que actions if you are away for a few days. I will be watching to see if you log on, though.
4. Please note you will be restricted from changing your avatar and/or name once the game has started. You know who you are.
5. By signing up to play, you agree that you have read and understood the first post(s) containing the rules and setup of the game. Failure to show understanding of the information provided in the first post(s) at any time after signing up may result in a ban from the game.
6. Abilities that concern players other than the user have been marked with *V* AND *NV* which means Visiting action and Non-Visiting action.

** Roles **
VILLAGER - A rather paranoid resident of this town.
Dodge: Avoids one attack for that night. Can only be used once.
DOCTOR - Unfortunately, not this guy.
*V* Medicate: Prevents one hit on the target of his choice.
BELL RINGER - The reclusive town bell ringer.
Ring the Bell: May end day permaturely at any time by posting so in the topic or PMing me. All votes placed after he rings the bell are discounted. The vote count is left as is and the current leader is lynched. He may only use this power once per game.
BROADCASTER -- Your local newsman, only on SEN 93.7 FM.
Broadcast: Sends messages anonymously by PMing the host. He may make one communication per day (includes night), which appears with the day post. This communication will be limited to 200 characters, a limit which may not be circumvented via links. (IE, a link to some previous posts in the topic is OK, but linking to a .TXT with more clue interpretations is not.)
Broadcaster has two night lives.
DEATH PACT - Two players who performed blood rituals at night.
Pact (Passive): They can only be killed at night if they are BOTH hit in the same night. However, if one of them is lynched, the other one dies automatically.
MAD SCIENTIST - He's kind of stir-crazy...
*V* Mind Swap: During the night, the Mad Scientist switches roles with a player of his choice. That player becomes the new Mad Scientist, who may then reuse the power on anyone but the player who switched with him. If he chooses a mafia, nothing happens, and then he is killed.
MASOCHIST - He can't live without the pain, man.
Addiction (Passive): The Masochist cannot be killed by any amount of hits at night. However, after the Masochist is hit once, he develops a taste for pain that he cannot live without. Once that happens, he will commit suicide and die automatically on any following night that he is NOT hit.
PARALYZER - Your local potions master!
*V* Administer Sleep serum: Cancels X mafia hits for one night, where X is equal to the number of night when this power is used. He may only use this power once per game. For example, if the Paralyzer uses his power on the 2nd night, it will negate the first two hits sent to me by the Mafia.
PSYCHO - That one guy you always picked on in high school.
Insanity (Passive/Active): If the Psycho is lynched by the town, he gets to take a player of his choice with him to the grave (Via in-game post). If the Psycho is killed at night, the Psycho dies but his killer is "injured", and cannot attack the next night, in addition to an extra clue will be provided against his killer.
REGENERATOR - He just won't die!
Regenerate (Passive): The Regenerator can only by killed by two or more hits. Think of it as him having a Doctor protecting him at all times. If Doctor(s) are protecting him, then three or more hits may be needed to take out the Regenerator. He can still be lynched normally.
JEDI - Your local practitioner of the Jedi Arts.
*NV* Force Push: Pushes away the first person to visit him at night, the visitor's action on the Jedi is negated. (except for a Doctor)
*V* Deflect: Redirects an otherwise killing blow to the Jedi towards the person of his choice. Can only be used successfully once (The Jedi can use this multiple times if it does not work). If it kills a member of the mafia, all mafia are notified of the Jedi's identity.
SAVIOR - The Son of God.
*NV* Absolve: When the Savior is still alive, he may sacrifice himself to revive up to 2 players of his choice, who will return to the town the next day. This ability can be used only during night, and the Savior must say "I am reviving X and Y" (Or something similar) via in game post.
Resurrection: If the Savior would be killed before he can make his sacrifice, he may instead save himself. When he saves himself, he loses his powers and otherwise functions as a normal townie.
SHAPESHIFTER - Just who is he really?
Transform (Passive): At the start of each day, the Shapeshifter is assigned one random role and uses their powers as applicable during that day or during the following night. Restrictions, if any are applicable to the role he accquires still. (ex, he cannot save himself if he gets Doctor.) The Shapeshifter will not get the same role twice in a row.
Notes: Powers that Shapeshifters will be able to obtain this game are: All town-sided roles. If hit while he is Masochist, he will die the following night if not hit. If the Shapeshifter's role is swapped with the Mad Scientist, the Mad Scientist gets the current role of Shapeshifter along with the passive ability.
SPONGE - He's magnetic.
Absorb (Passive): If the Sponge is killed during the night, he "soaks up" all the hits for that night. Specifically, every hit placed that night is automatically redirected to the Sponge.
THEORETICAL PHYSICIST - Some things shouldn't be messed with... but he doesn't care.
*NV* Time Reversal: Spends the first 2 night/day cycles constructing a time machine. (Until Day 3) After this, he may reverse time ONE FULL DAY/NIGHT CYCLE. Everything that happened in this time period is undone, except the time machine itself. Mind erasure is also not performed. This may only be used once. Has two night lives.
Note: This role is hilarious.
TRACKER - He knows when you are sleeping. He knows when your awake. He knows if you've been bad or good so be good for goodness' sake.
*V* Track: Follows one person every night. Will know who that person visited that night.
MAFIA - They've invaded the town, only more subtly than before.
Anonymous (Passive): Each member of the mafia gets a special ability that is only known to his or her self. This ability is revealed upon death.
*V* Hit: Places one 'hit' on a player. If a player is being protected by a Doctor, it would take an additional Mafia's hit to kill them.
