Simple question, what is your favorite video game genre, if Starcraft didn't exist, that is? If you don't know what a type of game is, search it on http://www.Wikipedia.org .

My personal favorite is RPG's, I always liked levelling up and getting that new ability while i'm doing this quest and that quest.

I prefer FPS.
There's few rules.
It's all down to YOU. Not the techtree, not the fact that you haven't got enough exp, not because you're car hasn't got a good enough engine.
Everyone is spawned equal in FPS. FPS rules :D

Im split right between FPS and RTS, but I'll vote FPS because I guess I play them more.

RTS and TBS are my choice. My favorite games have been Heroes III (AWESOME game, still play it when I'm on a weaker computer) and the Blizzard RTS's. I liked whatever genre Diablo was in too, though.

Boatianity: A philosophy developed by Jesus Christ involving winboats and failboats. Those with lots of win are winboats. Those with lots of fail are failboats. Those in the middle are boats. Lends itself to epicness, such as 'May the win be with you' and 'The fail is strong with this one'.

I would say turn-based strategy.

Turn-based because, strategy would be turn-based if all the players played at the same pace, which is the ideal situation. Games like Starcraft can be won because of control speed. Games like chess require strategy and foresight.

Nah, fighting games/party games. lol Mortal Kombat and Mario Party helped make this world what it is today. Except Vehicle Combat Games are better ^^

Call of Duty 4 for PS3 would be the best after starcraft. It is tactical, entertaining, and comon, shooting, guns, gore, and more baby!

My favorite type is one that doesn't exist yet that I plan to make. It'll be the One Game to Rule Them All!

Short of that, I'd go with Sandbox (which isn't on your list, either). Shit like Spore, (ugh) Gmod, etc.
