Hey Overseer while you're doing this can you check for any unused levels, units, effects? There were a bunch of hero units went unused in Atrox, just like in SC1. SC1 also had a secret level, so I was wondering if Atrox also had one.
And if there's any way you can find out the game's mechanics out. There were some things I never figured out like the damage types(for the Ascomoid bombs and explosion types like the Jungler) and the specific conditions required for creating the "Burn" towers from the Intellion. Have fun with the towers by the way, their attack animation looks amazing.

Sadly.. There doesn't seem to be any unused levels, units, effects.
also, I can't find any Laser effect in the atrox graphic file, but texture file is exist.
laser is 3d effect, I think.

Can you also rip the sound effects from it, especially the death sounds? The voice samples for the Hominian are generic as hell, but the sounds files for the Createse's Leopard sound genuinely creepy and interesting. The Leopard sounds like a plague-ridden/infected person. The others like the Fire, Behemoth, buildings, not so much. Sadly from how much I know they don't have any secret additional sound files like SC1's and especially SC2's units do when you persistently click on them.

NudeRaider -- I can't say but it sounds plausible. You'd still have the problem with the palette.

NudeRaider -- The map structure only ever recognizes one tileset at a time. So you'd have to define your own map format then make an .exe that can load such files. I don't think it's ever been done; it sounds like a lot of work. What's commonly done with modding is creating a new tileset. Then you decide which tiles go in there. You can also make new ones. You will probably also have to create a new palette as the different tilesets share only part of their colors. Finally entering speculation territory you could maybe use EUDs to dynamically change the graphics of certain tiles. Not sure if it's possible, but if it is, you better make a topic for it.

NudeRaider shouted: You are right, however, in that the Remastered *graphics* are just a skin are interchangeable, even midgame. Skinability being another new functionality. Anyways, for tools that rely on the original mpqs you will have to obtain a legacy version of sc.
