This may be helpful. If you try to be a polymath or try every single field, you don't go deep enough to really get good.
On the flip side, focusing only one one subject is more risky. But it's a good gamble that you can always retry later.

1. You make your abilities yourself. It may take longer than you expect, but it's better than nothing. Most people die without achieving anything.
2. Sometimes you have to give up what you like most, such as gaming in order to achieve what you want.

I have no proof but I have a feeling the internet is going to be his best bet at solving his problem. Do something arts related where you can go some place and present your stuff later on and circle jerk. It's way more satisfying then anything ever.
