Over at UDMod, one of SEN's affiliates, Olyvian has put together a terrain teaser for their upcoming AoS map, Fields of Glory.
"{For those of you who do not know, FoG is a medieval AoS map which is currently in production. We're always on the lookout for fellow sc2 fanatics who want to help FoG become a reality. Reckon you have some skills we might find useful? Why not post them on the Official FoG Forum? "
Red classic.
"In short, their absurdities are so extreme that it is painful even to quote them."
Damn, that looks amazing. Hopefully the gameplay can live up to the terrain's greatness. Also, I'm surprised at how nice the water looks. The waterfalls add a lot to the peacefulness and serenity of the "good" side of the map. Maybe it's because I can only run the game on medium-high and don't get the full water experience? Anyways, the "bad" side also looks really nice; the arid dirt and lava spewing up give it a nice touch (reminds me of HoN.. hopefully the gameplay isn't as confusing >_>). I hope they hurry up with this map so I can play it while payne is still evading wild bears in the mountains. >:o
It's very pretty, but a quick look at the gameplay/hero discussion shows me that they've put incredibly little thought into making their game distinct from any other game in the tactical heroic genre. Definitely going to have to withhold judgment for quite some time- but it will still probably beat TS2 to release.

I'm sure they're open to criticism. If you have some ideas, maybe you could pass them along. link.
...really? They've been working on this project for a long time, and considering they're doing completely custom models and artwork for it, I think it deserves a little more than that. Yes, its another AoS, but it still looks great. The best we can come up with is a remake of Diablo 1 without all the great custom art they have.
There are other projects at UDMod as well, namely Risk Revulsion, WW2 Diplomacy, and Universe of Starcraft (not the one that guy is working on that Blizzard loved). Fields of Glory is their biggest so far, though.
Lol, yes their trailer shows magnificent work. I just feel as though with the new power SC2 provides, AoS would be left behind in favor of a newer genre.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of Westernhagen either, Fanta vier much better! But they didn't drop the lyrics that fit the situation. Farty: Ich bin wieder hier; nobody: in meinem Revier; Me: war nie wirklich weg
