I am now officially retired from Starcraft modding.
TGA's recent epic failure in the BWAI tournament has shown me that I am long past my prime. Motivation to finish AO has not surfaced and it should have been finished months and months ago. Any plans to update the old mods have been scrapped.
AO's popularity has been greatly wounded by the limit expander not working correctly on some versions, a problem that will never be solved. None of my other mods are played at Mod Night anyway so there's no point in fixing some problems with them or updating their AI.
I'll still be here to help people out but don't expect any more releases or updates from me.
Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.
PyMS and ProTRG developer
I'm sorry to hear that Iskatu, i hoped that you had changed your mind about retiring. You created some of the greatest, most intense, and obviously most flashy mods ever, and im sure everyone is sad to hear this (especially me). I hope maybe later down the road after a nice little break you will reconsider, but until then I wish you well on whatever you get up to.
You're not saying goodbye to us? Right?
None.
I won't be visiting here as much but I'll still be here.

Farewell, brother. I suppose we all have to quit sometime. But hey, at least you get to walk away knowing that you were one of the best SC modders alive, if not, THE best modder alive. Have a long and happy retirement!
EDIT:
I am not new here, but I really never saw any mod other than AO coming from Iskatu...
You fail.
If anything cool is ever going on Skype me up under the name "blarghle"

Responsible for my own happiness? I can't even be responsible for my own breakfast
So long Mesk, and thanks for all the mods.
So long Mesk, and thanks for all the mods.
You mean "fish" -- thanks for all the "fish."
But, good bye awe-inspiring god of mod.

Mesk was giving out fish? When was this?
I didn't get any. >:|
TGA's recent epic failure in the BWAI tournament has shown me that I am long past my prime..
It didn't fail at all! In fact you did really well. It took a college student from France studying programming languages to "almost" show us veterans how it's done. I doubt if anyone else could have come even remotely close to beating his toss. His Terran couldn't either!
You've been retired for as long as most ppl have been active in the modding community. Only recently have you resurfaced with AO and it is probably the greatest light show ever. I wish it had a "single-player" difficulty mode, as rounding up decent players who play mods is a joke, but it is what it is. Ya, everyone here raves about unique gameplay etc with old recycled copy-pasta graphics, but when it comes to eye candy you delivered big time. I like that and I like your style; Fast paced action + Flashy graphics.
Iskatu_Mesk isript king forever... nuff said.
None.
Mesk, AO was one of the best mods I've played so far, and being one of the first mods I've played, I can say it got me into playing mods.
None.
Farewell Mesk, king of raping SC's sprite limit, fish, and Iscript. Do us proud with whatever you do.
And, AO was one of the most awe-inspiring mods I have ever seen, I couldn't even hope to do some of the things you could (ofc that doesn't say much coming from me).
None.
I've been modding for, quite literally, over eight years. It's a wonder I kept to it this long in the first place. I can't actually count how many TC's I've made but it's over a dozen marginally complete ones for sure. I think only AO was ever widely publicized to an actual modding community though (considerable effort was put into getting MFTGATRL out there - to no avail, since no one knew you could mod SC).
Now my efforts are being focused on a total conversion for Age of Wonders 2.

You won't be forgotten in the moddery community for a long time Mesk.
Have a nice retirement.
None.
