** NEWS **
1. Sign ups have opened.
2. Aristocrat has dibs on N Mafia #6.
** RULES OF NORM MAFIA **
-General-
1.Players receive roles at the start of the game.
2.Roles are randomly selected.
3.Bullies are told the identity of other bullies, but townspeople are given no additional starting information.
4.The games alternates between Classes and Breaks (game time, not real time). The game begins during the break before first period.
5.You may communicate in whatever way you like. Feel free to lie, cheat, and trick people in order to come out on top Remember, this is high school, so you're expected to be a lying, stealing piece of shit in dire need of detention.
6. Students that go home for the day may still post, but are not allowed to post as a person still at school for example, talking about clues, trying to vote, giving away information that someone not at the school wouldn't be able to give.
7.One may not request or volunteer screenshots, videos, etc. of another role screen or someone's password via the thread, a PM, or any other method. The game is intended to be won via behavioral analysis, special roles, and praying a lot. You will auto-lose if I find out you've been partaking in these ancient acts of evil.
-Breaks-
1.This is the time that Bullies are allowed to roam the halls.
2.If you have between class actions, you may also use them at this time.
3.Break has a time limit set by the host. Once break is over, the principal makes a small report over the PA and students must go to class.
Note: To send a night action, PM it to me in the following form:
Quote
[action name] : [action target(s)]
For example:
Quote
Quote
Night hit: eVILdesk
Night hit: eVILdesk
Please write the names fully and correctly. Note that if a bullying action is submitted and then changed, it goes to the end of the action list.
Note: This is the order of break actions (Not necessarily reflected in game posts).
-Non-hit effects take place.
-Bullies strike.
-Students retaliate.
-Any Investigations that may occur.
-Class.
-Class-
1.All players are sitting in class, but they're texting each other constantly trying to figure out who to expel.
2.Every player may place a vote to select a player to be expelled.
3.Players may abstain in order to be accounted for, but not vote.
4.Players may vote for a NO EXPULSION instead.
5.You must place your vote in this topic. Make it easy to tell who you're voting for.
6.You cannot vote for yourself, people who are not at the school, or people not playing.
7.If a tie happens, neither party is expelled.
8.You may change your vote until the day is over.
9.If someone is expelled, you will know if they were a bully or not, but not their role.
-Victory-
1.The class and break cycles repeat until the end of the school day.
2.The students win if they still outnumber bullies at the end.
3.The bullies win if they outnumber the normal students at the end.
4.In a case where one bully and one normal student remain, the bully wins.
-- SIGNING UP
If the game has not started, you may sign up by posting in this thread and I will add you to list. There is no maximum amount of players.
Take note of the following:
1. A non-default avatar is required to play. If you wish to play, make sure you have chosen a unique avatar.
2. If you won't play without a special role, don't play at all. If you won't contribute jack shit to the school, don't play at all. Useless and inactive students ruin balancing and ultimately, the game itself.
3. If you plan on being away from the game for more than 3 days at a time during the game, it is better that you do not play and sit the round out.
4. Please note you will be restricted from editing certain aspects of your profile once the game starts. This is because clues may be based off such things. You are aware of this and agree not to ***** about it.
5. If the game has already started, you must wait until the next game. People always tell me to sign them up during the game. They then become inactive or I forget to sign them up. To prevent this problem, I ask all those who wish to play to wait for the next round.
7. By signing up to play, you agree that you have read and understood the first post(s) containing the rules and setup of the game. Failure to show understanding of the information provided in the first post(s) at any time after signing up may result in a ban from the game.
If you have any questions, PM me or post in the thread.

** ROLES **
STUDENT - The average, ordinary student. Their limited powers include the power of persuasion, power of intellect (clue interpretation), and the one-time dodge/save ability.
Power: Dodge - Allows the Student to dodge one bully attack. May only be used once per game, if and only if Save has not been used previously and is not being used the same night.
Power: Save - The Student may intervene with another student - telling them to get to class early. This will prevent them from being targeted by a bully. May only be used once per game, if and only if Dodge has not been used previously and is not being used the same night.
BULLY – Bullies appear to be regular students during class, but on break they are able to use their power to bully one person of their choosing. If the target has only 1 point of self-esteem left, they will cry and go home early for the day.
Power: Bully - Subtracts 1 point of self-esteem from the target by bullying them. (Swirlies, wedgies, name-calling, etc...)
PREP – These guys have so much self-esteem it's not even funny. Start with three non-regenerating points of self-esteem. Also has the power to dodge one time, but cannot save because they're too self-absorbed to care about others.
Power: Dodge - Allows the Student to dodge one bully attack. May only be used once per game.
JOCK - They're the strong athletic type. If approached by a single bully, there is a 50% chance that the bully will get beat up and the bullying will be unsuccessful. However, if two bullies approach a jock, then it will be successful with no chance of them getting beat up. Bullies that the jock beats up cannot bully during the next break between classes. Jocks that are bullies bully with double efficiency, but they cannot target CHEERLEADERS or PREPS.
NERD – A student who provides an instant ego-boost by comparison. Has the power to talk to one person per break. He also has the power once during the school day to use his high intelligence to analyze the principal's announcement.
Power: Talk - Talks to a person during break. That person will lol on the inside because nerds are funny. The target of this will recover 1 point of self esteem because they will feel better about themselves after being reminded that 'hey - at least I'm not a nerd'.
Power: Analyze - Carefully goes over the most recent principal announcement and determines with 100% accuracy if it contained any red herrings. If there are red herrings, he will be informed how many. Note: Intentional red herrings only, I obviously can't account for things I didn't mean to hint at.
REBEL – The rebel is above and beyond school rules and will always find a way to avoid being expelled. The rebel has two regenerating self-esteem points, and can never be a bully.
GOTH – The weird kid who always wears all black and freaks everyone out. The goth doesn't give a fuck, and is therefore immune to bullying in every way. If the goth is generated the bully role, it will be re-randomized to somebody else.
Power: Violence - The GOTH may at any time for any reason violently assault one of their classmates. This attack will result in the target being sent to the hospital, and the goth being dragged away by security.
CHEERLEADER – The cheerleader is very agile and because of this can dodge bullies up to three times during the school day. If a cheerleader is a bully and she attempts to bully a prep, a bitch fight will result and both the bully cheerleader and her prep target will be expelled.
Power: Dodge - Allows the Student to dodge one bully attack. May only be used a total of three times.
Warning: I will keep an eye on the thread and will try to keep you guys straight. Well, I guess I just hope you guys can play fair, that's all.
I also happen to play the role of "God". My judgment is used where I deem it necessary. Divine intervention via detention slips may occur. If you are not monotheistic, you are now. If you have any suggestions, let me know.
