Yeah, but how often do people actually wipe their cache? Since people change avatars frequently, making avatars uncacheable would be a good idea.
Honestly, having avatars cacheable in the first place is a stupid idea but I get it since SEN is ran out of private pockets.
Saw this while viewing this thread.
Also, can you make it so that the name of the thread is displayed on the top of your browser window? It makes it easier to keep of what page you're on when you've got multiple SEN pages open.
Oh, and another thing. I'm not sure if much can be done about this, but when I'm viewing SEN on my phone, I zoom in on the "Latest Forum Posts" box so that I can see what new posts have been made, but then if I click on any of them, the page I go to will still be zoomed in to the same amount that it was on the front page, which gets kind of annoying when I go to different parts of SEN. Would you be able to reset the zoom scale to 100% when you go to a different page?

That's entirely the implementation of your mobile browser: it retains the same zoom because it sees you're on the same domain.

There's a smart way of approaching caching on this site that I'm discussing with Devourer that would alleviate most (if not all) of these issues.

Really? I don't remember this happening in v5.
I order you to forgive yourself!
Not sure if it's a known bug, but I came on the site, it claimed, I was logged out (Shoutbox, member functions where shown as guest), so I proceeded to log in. Entered my [Username // Password], but upon submitting the form, it gave me a message saying I was already logged in. And sure enough, I was after that.

Demon, if you do not want this to happen: settings-> navigation and disable ajax navigation.
I do not yet know about a javascript resetting zoom.
The loginscript once always redirected to the forumindex but now tries to redirect to the page before, which is not working. I probably was working on it and had to leave unexpectedly. Somewhat forgot about it for a while
I get something similar with the shoutbox, it goes like this:
open site: logged in, click on global shoutbox: not logged in, go back to main site via Staredit Network link: logged in, click on global shoutbox again: logged in

For some reason I always see new avatars when they change. Given that, I'm obviously against uncacheable avatars.
I'm using Firefox so maybe when deciding if it should take the pic from the cache it checks that date first, which other browsers don't?
More generally useful ideas:
Maybe we could replicate that behavior server side? Like make the new avatar uncacheable and thus force an update until the next time the user sees the page. (Not sure if there's methods to control it user by user)
Alternatively change the link each time.

The problem with "occasionally not recognizing a member to be logged in when he actually is" - as reported by Kame - should now be fixed.

Not sure why, but I have to log in every time I come to SEN despite having it "remember me". I don't have this issue with other sites, so I'm not sure if it has to do with SEN or my cookies or what.
That seemed to fix my issue. Yay!

Can you add custom post color settings back? Its clearly still possible to use them but haveing the option in the drop-down color menu would be a nice quality of life improvement.
What is wrong with that shoutbox? Too few shouts? You can change that in the settings.
Post-Color: well maybe, yeah.

Large space between the last shout (Devourer:
) and shout form (my color | ~~ | Shout)

Yes. This is correct and may even be convenient given that new shouts do not generate a scrollbar immidiately, but that probably is not the major opinion. Under settings, you can adjust the height in pixels and/or the number of shouts. Working as intented.

The planets skin is currently using colored images of the default skin.
It could use a better/different notification-icon (top left corner) and different forumindex forum icon.

Null needs to be a nuke and I personally like the notification icon as it is in its current state.
A skin technically can still have unique icon / forum.
I just need someone designing them. At least recolor the v5 ones though maybe sc2 icons would be cooler? idk.
