Hello there. I used tinymap to compress stuff in my map. I know that it also protects it. But then when I try to reopen it to finish the map. Tinymap says this "One or more unknown files were found in the MPQ. Please update your listfile in the Options file and try again" I have looked in the options window and have no idea what to do XD. Help please. The map is Sniper Kittens that I started 3 years ago and felt like finishing it this year.

TinyMap can't reverse the compression process: once the file is compressed, it's compressed.
If you used SCMDraft to work on the map, you may still have a backup of it saved. Check Advanced -> Open Backup Database and look for your map.
Sometimes a map compressed by TinyMap can still be opened by Starforge. You could try opening the map in Starforge and saving it.
You could also post the map here and someone may be able to recover it.
It doesn't strictly speaking protect it, but for many editors you'll have to add back in parts of the map (aka CHK or scenario file) like the ISOM section that tinimap removes, you can use an unprotector (which due to ancient rules I can't give names) or add in the parts of the CHK yourself, also note that you will not have the original ISOM data to work with so you'll be reduced to tile-by-tile terrain for the most part, in addition locations and switches will not have names and your triggers will lack comments.
Rebuilding a list file takes a little skill (this may also be done by some unprotectors), you have to open a notepad and add staredit\scenario.chk, then each on their own lines the names of the WAV's, which can be retrieved from the WAV and STR sections, a listfile is not necessary for starcraft (or for SCMDraft afaik) but may be for some programs like tinimap.

You can't lock yourself out of your own map. TinyMap won't let you overwrite the original file.

Sending you the recovered map in a PM.

Just came by to clarify:
you can use an unprotector (which due to ancient rules I can't give names)
We are allowed to talk about "OSMap 2", "Unused Unprotector" and the likes, we just can't post links to them.
