Rai and Roy are one of the confirmed townies... so it would make sense for them to be the hub players however if Roy finds a semi decent role and this person also turns out to be a good player this will suit them as a hub player as this will not only protect the hub but his/her night powers.

- NIGHT 3 -

Excalibur had been in pain all day, but he was persistent about continuing his work. He had just finished his last piece of business for the day when he finally decided to call it quits and head to his room.
As he was walking down the hall, he had the strange sense that he was being followed. Perhaps he was just paranoid given last night's attack, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.
When he finally reached his room, he opened the door and quickly scanned the area. Nothing. Before he closed it behind him, he made sure to look in the hallway. Nothing.
"You're just being neurotic," he said out loud to himself.
An hour had passed since Excalibur went to sleep when he was woken up by the sound of his door.
"Who's there?," he yelled. No response. He could see something moving in the shadows, though, and reached for his sidearm.
"Looking for something?" his visitor asked, holding up Excalibur's gun. "You know, had you just died last night, I wouldn't have had to make this little house call. Plus, a stab wound is much less severe than a bullet wound if you ask me." He laughed, but Excalibur didn't see any humor in it at all. "You're not very fun. Here I was thinking that humanity had hope, but you can't even laugh about the situation. Oh well."
The man grinned as he pulled the trigger, shooting Excalibur directly in the head.
"Have fun getting saved from that."

Jack decided tonight was a good night to make an appearance at the ship's makeshift bar.
"Make it something strong, I don't drink often," he told the bartender. He looked around the room, and surprisingly didn't see any familiar faces.
"Hi there." His ears perked up as he heard a beautiful voice coming from behind. "I couldn't help but notice you from across the room, and thought I might invite you back to my room."
Jack turned around to see the most gorgeous woman he had ever laid eyes on. All he could do in response was smile and nod.
"Good," she said as she slipped him a note with her room number. "Meet me there in a few minutes?"
He again nodded, and she made her way out of the bar area.

10 minutes had gone by as Jack stood outside her room. He was beginning to think he had the wrong number until he heard someone walking toward him. To his surprise it was not the woman, but instead someone else entirely.
"Would you consider yourself to be a religious man?" the man asked Jack.
Jack wasn't exactly sure how to respond. What an odd question from someone he had just met. "Sure, why do you ask?"
"It's nothing, really. Something someone was reading last night really caught my eye."
"Oh yeah?" Jack wasn't sure exactly where this was going.
There was along pause before the man spoke again. "I find it ironic that you're religious, given what you do."
"And what is it that you do?" As Jack turned around, he saw the man's gun pointing directly at his face.
"I kill."
Jack's body was discovered shortly after, riddled with bulletholes.

The music stopped as if on cue, and it all became so clear.

The man stared at his door as he was terrified of what could be waiting on the other side.

"Go away!," he yelled. He was shaking as he hid in the corner. There's no way anyone could get in, he kept thinking to himself.
"I'm not going anywhere, but I'm also not going to hurt you," a voice said from outside the room. "I know it is difficult to trust people right now, but you can trust me. Keep the door closed for the entire night. I'll be out here to make sure no one gets in."
The man didn't know if he could trust this voice, but he took comfort in the idea that this protector was really on his side.

Sweat was running down the man's face as he sat impatiently in his chair.
"I know they're coming for me. Any night now, they'll just try to get me."
He kept what looked like a homemade switch device strapped to his hand. It was most likely linked to the explosives wired around his room. He clearly hadn't slept for days, but that wasn't going to prevent him from his mission.
"Any night now."

Roy, I challenge your role-claim as the Scientist. You are not the real Scientist; you are fake-claiming the Scientist role in order to gain the support of the Crew while you covertly stab them in the back. You have thus far not provided any basis, not even a quote of your role PM, to back up your Scientist claim, and I'm revealing myself now before you walk all over the rest of the Crew and condemn us to failure.

For my part, I will post up quotes of my investigations for the past three nights, which is more than what Roy has done (just stating "X is Cylon" without even a quote of the investigation result? Really? I assure you, no one with half a brain will be falling for that):

Night 0 Investigation: Azrael.Wrath

I am almost certain that "some sort of error" means that the Cylon Mole cleared Azrael.Wrath on this night, as Azrael is usually a priority target (see last 2 games) and is generally targeted by several actions in the first night. From the Cylon's point of view, it would make sense to clear Azrael.Wrath on this night, so any investigations conducted on him would turn up as clear, and indeed this is what appears to have happened. If Azrael.Wrath was a Cylon, it would also explain how he and Roy have bluntly lent support to each other, with no other basis than "because the Scientist said so".
It would also explain how he is still alive at this point, because as I mentioned earlier, Azrael.Wrath is generally a priority target for the mafia due to his inherent skill at behavioral analysis (see last game, where Azrael.Wrath was nearly double-teamed on the first night).

Night 1 Investigation: Excalibur

Normally, the Investigation power only reveals alignment, not role. When I questioned DevliN about this, he said that he was tired and had made a mistake, promising that he wouldn't do it again (I'm holding you to this DevliN!). However, this investigation, plus Excalibur's earlier post in the thread, plus his subsequent death, indicates that he is indeed the Security Officer. However, on the night immediately following the post he made, Excalibur was targeted. He thankfully had a Doctor (whose identity will remain hidden since he is still alive) protect him, and thus lived through to the next night, where he was killed. I do find it interesting that Excalibur would be targeted by the Cylons after Roy's post:

That'd only happen by the Seductress or Officer. I was seduced, so the Officer must have targeted poison, which means the Bodyguard also targeted poison. If someone could confirm this, it would clear a lot up.

Roy was not, in fact, seduced on this night, because he is not the Scientist and is allied with the Cylons. I suspect that he only said that to make his Scientist claim seem more credible, as simply listing off investigation results right from the start would have made him seem suspicious.

Night 2 Investigation: Raitaki
...Which brings me to the most recent Night.
I made this investigation out of my own curiosity more than anything, as I was seeking people to form an alliance and take Roy down behind the scenes. Also because Excalibur requested that I check out Raitaki, though since Ex is now dead he can't make use of the information.

Important parts I have highlighted in red.
I honestly do not know what to make of this investigation. On one hand, it seems that DevliN corrected his mistake, and thus only the alignment has been revealed, and it would indeed seem that Raitaki is Crew-aligned. On the other hand, the discrepancy between the times in my investigation, plus the "dozing off" leads me to believe that Raitaki was cleared by the Mole on this night, thus skewing the result. As I've already said, I'm not sure what to make of this investigation; it could easily go either way. Make what conclusions you want from this; I've no idea.

For my part, however, I will not be fooled by Roy's claims any longer. I vote for Roy to be executed, and damn the possible consequences.

Of course, the only reason DevliN wouldn't post this publicly would be if you're lying and trying to deceive the other players. If I am wrong about this, DevliN, by all means post the clarity and correct the OP.

The text is a pretty big giveaway about the fact that Excalibur was the security officer from the night post last night, so I guess this saves the mortician one autopsy. However, the fact that a good power role died is rather inconvenient.

Also, many references to funny things in this post. Not sure what it means. Perhaps someone else could interpret this?
