I have a Lurker Egg from a hydra that Im trying to get the game detect, yet no matter what I do it doesn't detect it. Commands,Brings doesn't work at all. Why isn't this working?

Can you detect when the player doesn't have a hydra? that's only if you have 1 hydralisk... Never fooled around with eggs to be honest.

It doesn't work, the game won't detect them for conditions. Actions will work on them however, so something like "Center location on Lurker Egg" will result in the location immediately moving to wherever there is a Lurker Egg as soon as it's made. Since you can detect when a location moves in this fashion (it will stay in the center of the map if there are no Lurker Eggs), you can indirectly detect Lurker Eggs.

You can also modify this system to not require the center of the map, if required.

An alternative method is detecting that the Hydralisk disappeared instead.

Just chipping in to say that Azrael is 100% correct.

Lurker eggs cannot be detected, either as Lurker Egg, [men] or even [any unit]. They simply don't register. Detecting them by centering a location (and then checking that the location is no longer where it used to be), as per hallucinations, is the only way to do it.

If you look in SCMDraft 2 which is what I use, You'll find that in the units tab The eggs are under the * tab and not the units tab.It's the way starcraft labels the "units" Or something like that.

It wasn't originally supported to be detected through triggers. Third party editors allow us to do more than the original staredit, but there are still limitations on things such as this.
