If the Location label is opened (on the left side), clicking on a location in the editor should highlight it in the menu.

ERRORMy SCMDraft has been continuously freezing up for the past two days. No matter what I do. I just now tried to place a single tile of isometric terrain and it froze up, no error message or anything. Can't do shit. Have to end the process with task manager just to make it close. So whats up with that? Using Vista. Already tried reinstalling. Just got worse afterwards.

double clicking locations to edit their properties brings up those windows with the pre create instance crap and all that. But pressing enter does not.
I get the same error too. When double clicking a location to bring up properties, I get these unwanted windows one after another before the actual properties pops up:

If I simply right click a location -> properties, i don't get the error. It should still be fixed tho

Oh, another thing I have found that is a bit annoying..
In the older v. of SCMDraft, when you copy a trigger and change the player its for, it still has that trigger selected and just compiles all the triggers for both players into one window. But this one it still complies both, but no longer keeps the trigger selected. Thus, you have to scroll down the list, find the trigger and copy it and repeat.
Was much easier when you just hit copy right away and did it for all players.

not make my players unused just because they don't have start locations, especially when it deletes them when I put them at (0,0).
Also it did something to my invalid race, now my map crashes when before it didn't. :C
And it moved my player out of Force 7.

Sometimes, when you place null terrain at the left side of the map (Maybe other sides to.) Scmdraft freezes, sometimes it unfreezes after a while, sometimes, it never unfreezes.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.
Cancelling the "Chose Map File" browsing window (the Load a specific map - window) causes trigedit to crash (somethig bad happened. would you like to save a diagnostic file?). I'm on win7 & Save map window didn't appear...edit: Compatibility mode with 98/ME caused this. Using no compatibility mode works.

sometimes scmdraft freezes for a few seconds (e.g. 10 seconds) when you do something with your mouse over the main window (where the terrain + units is drawn). Seems to happen when I make a selection box with the mouse.

Suggestions for the latest versioin as of this post:
[Map Settings]
- Remove the following races from the list: Independant, Neutral, Human (0x03, 0x04, 0x08). They are invalid.
- Add the following race to the list: Random (0x06). It is valid and could potentially be used.
- Remove the last four colours from the colour list. They are invalid.
[Sprite Properties]
- Remove the "Unknown [BYTE]" field and all bit fields except for "Draw as Sprite" and "Disabled". They are all unused.
- Add a Sprite ID field.
- Add Position X/Y
[Location Properties]
- Remove the Raw Flags. It's really not necessary.
- Remove the debug messages. (MessageBox "Location Dialog - ")
[Classic Trigedit]
- Allow writing negative integers in number fields (resources, score, etc).
- Allow saving triggers with no conditions.
[General]
- Allow players without Start Locations or allow placing Start Locations anywhere (including outside of map boundries). (On a side note, I hope you don't add Start Locations to the unit count)
