okay so i know 2 ways to grid, (assume we have a 3x3) you could create 9 units then give/remove OR i could create 1 by 1 and remove all.
my problem is i'm making an X using the first method to create 9 and then give.
my trigger creates 9, gives (to comp player), remove, give, remove, give, remove, give, remove, gives, then kill.
The problem is the fifth place does not kill the unit, the unit is in the 8th slot instead.

None.
Please refer to the
Grid Systems article in the wiki. Since you haven't told what units are you using, I'm assuming it's an order-of-selection problem. What is the distance between nearby grid points: 1 or 1.5? What unit(s) are you using to create the grid?
None.
You're not doing it in the right order
It starts from bottom left and it goes like this
3 4 7
2 6 8
1 5 9
That's just how starcraft works. No matter what, it will remove the unit in 5 first before the 6.

my trigger creates 9, gives (to comp player), remove, give, remove, give, remove, give, remove, gives, then kill.
Wouldn't it be easier to just create 1 and alternate the player that owns the devourer? Then once you have the 9 devourers created, just remove the ones you don't want.
Create 1 Devourer for player 7 at GridCenter
Create 1 Devourer for player 8 at GridCenter
Create 1 Devourer for player 7 at GridCenter
Create 1 Devourer for player 8 at GridCenter
Create 1 Devourer for player 7 at GridCenter
Create 1 Devourer for player 8 at GridCenter
Create 1 Devourer for player 7 at GridCenter
Create 1 Devourer for player 8 at GridCenter
Create 1 Devourer for player 7 at GridCenter
Remove all Devourer for player 8
Kill all Devourer for player 7
And you're set...

damn I thought it started in the top left corner and down, thx

Whoa. Did you make this? If you did, can you please make the same thing for a 1x1 scourge-observer grid? It would be awesome to put in the grid article.
None.

9 2 3I was wondering. I just do it like this in one Trigger.
My Grid Trigger
Conditions:
Switch "Grid" is set
Actions:
Create 1 Devourer P8
Create 1 Devourer P7
Center Location 1 on Devourer P8
Center Location 2 on Devourer P7
Remove all Devourer
Create 2 Devourer P8
Create 1 Devourer P7
Center Location 3 on Devourer P7
Remove all Devourer
Create 3 Devourer P8
Create 1 Devourer P7
Center Location 4 on Devourer P7
Remove all Devourer
Create 4 Devourer P8
Create 1 Devourer P7
Center Location 5 on Devourer P7
Remove all Devourer
Create 5 Devourer P8
Create 1 Devourer P7
Center Location 6 on Devourer P7
Remove all Devourer
Create 6 Devourer P8
Create 1 Devourer P7
Center Location 7 on Devourer P7
Remove all Devourer
Create 7 Devourer P8
Create 1 Devourer P7
Center Location 8 on Devourer P7
Remove all Devourer
Create 8 Devourer P8
Create 1 Devourer P7
Center Location 9 on Devourer P7
Remove all Devourer
Clear Switch "Grid"
Now i have my 9 Location in a Snail shell and can use every Location in the Triggers that come.
Is there something wrong with this, as you all do it so complicated with create and remove ?
Is it slow ? Does it lag ? Do you want to use just one Player for the Grid ? Do you want to center just one Location and not all ? I donīt understand it.
None.

Please read the Grid Systems article first. We encourage people to read the huge amount of material we offer first so they can learn themselves. Your questions show that you have not read the article at all. After reading it, ask any questions you may have.
None.

You couldn't really do it for a scourge-observer grid, since they drift a bit when they sit still, so you'd get a different effect than you would if you immediately use it before they drift.
None.
I'm working on the obs grid. This would assume all the units are the same (for example if you create center give create burrowed ling). In reality, you can't go by the observer explosions vs the scourge deaths, but whatever. I also made this in SCMDraft, not starcraft, so it behaves like a "good" grid. Were I to do it in starcraft, the drift would mess things up.
Here we are
Someone stick it in the wiki if you want.
