I just finished playing all of the rpgs and beating them all except for the last boss on Azala's - 90KB RPG, the last part of DekuNut's - The Shadow Experiment II and the puzzle on Vrael's - Tenebrous. Anyway I was taking notes on all the maps as I played them as I went to help me rank them all from #1 - #17. This is of course just my personal ranking--I'm sure everyone has different opinions. I haven't included all the notes on the maps in these posts due to the length of post that would create and the fact I've mentioned what I thought in most of the forum threads for the maps. Anyway my three votes went to the top three on this list:
1.) Ultimo's Lost Souls
2.) Kilabyte's After Earth
3.) xYoshix's Fallen Memories
4.) Azala's - 90KB RPG
5.) Norm's - Hero Sanctuary
6.) EzTerix's - Silent Hill
7.) DekuNut's - The Shadow Experiment II
8.) Vrael's - Tenebrous
9.) Kenshin23's - FF Burden of Gilgamesh
10.) CecilSunkure's Lost Souls
11.) Lyoko367's Afterworld
12.) Marine's - Destruction - First Contact
13.) qPirateKing's Wonder
14.) TassadarZeratul and Madroc's - Build-A-Ship Workshop
15.) Fwop's Cataclysm
16.) Stickynote's Drop Dead
17.) Ahli's Diablo 1
Voting in the poll (as of 02/26/10) for those that haven't voted yet and wondered how it was going.
xYoshix's Fallen Memories 51 18%
Vrael's Tenebrous 29 11%
qPirateKings' Wonder 23 8%
Norm's Hero Sanctuary 22 8%
Ahli's Diablo 1 19 7%
Azala's 90KB RPG 18 7%
Kenshin23's FF Burden of Gilgamesh 18 7%
CecilSunkure's Lost Souls 18 7%
Ultimo's Lost Souls 17 6%
Tass/Madroc's Build-A-Ship Workshop 16 6%
EzTerix's Silent Hill 11 4%
Kilabyte's After Earth 10 4%
Fwop's Cataclysm 8 3%
DekuNut's The Shadow Experiment II 6 2%
Stickynote's Drop Dead 4 1%
Lyoko367's Afterworld 3 1%
Marine's Destruction- First Contact 3 1%
From these numbers I can conclude:
1.) People are voting for qPirateKing just because he is QPirateKing ignoring the fact he only completed one mission in his rpg.
2.) People will vote for anything with the word Diablo in it's name even if it doesn't work right.
3.) Not many people got into the really interesting parts of Killabyte's After Earth. It wasn't just hack and slash.
4.) FF maps popularity will always be slightly inflated.
5.) A map that has great promise but not that much done on its release for this contest can get a lot more votes than a finished/uber map.
6.) Maps that required multiple players were hurt in this voting due to the fact people on SEN who voted mostly couldn't find enough "friends" to give them a real shot.
