I understand the nostalgia value to users who were around back then, but I gotta say, reverting the current default theme to the v4 skin would be a downgrade. Providing it as an option would be a good idea, but it would not work well as a default.

How it should look.Also, the green in the picture still doesn't match the green in the skin, even when rendered properly (0c2a0c vs 0b2a0b).
Looks fine in Firefox to me. I even zoomed in on it and couldn't notice any kind of a difference.
Find gfx.color_management.mode, set it to 0 (default is 2).

Like I said, I just miss the ranking system and the colour scheme for names, that's what really made v4 fun. It's not too bad now, but I guess you kinda had to be there to really enjoy it.

I would say you should use render-units or gallery-images like the hydralisk on the top right cornor at the default skin.
Maybe a Baneling at the top left?
