IP has shown lack of judgment on many occasions before. He gave someone a mod position because he helped him code something. It wasn't relevant at all to what the guy helped him with, he just saw it as a reward for his help. Aggravating an admin is a stupid path to take Nerdy. I've read through your chat log, and Ex has every right to be an admin. Just because you have personal qualms with him for whatever past actions doesn't mean he doesn't deserve the position of being an administrator.

IMHO, Ex for power is great, but Admin is a little overkill. Make him like, global moderator or something, because I'll bet if he didn't have that admin globe bitching would decrease 70% >_>

Poor word choice on my part. However, I'm assuming you don't want him to be an admin because of some of his past choices. Ex has come aways and has matured in the process. He is one of the few people on this forum who have the activity and judgement to be a high ranking staff.

I actually agree with NerdyTerdy in regards to Excalibur's qualifications, it does seem like he's getting a trial run as administrator, and that seems very strange. I won't say anything positive about the admin-baiting or insults, though .

But I will point out:

I must say, I'm a bit hurt that everyone's agreeing with DTBK and not me, though I said the same thing and considerably earlier.

As Excalibur mentioned, he is not in on any sort of "plan" to take down SEN and merge it with the new Maplantis. ML2.0 was in production long before Ex was offered an admin position. Now, whether or not the intention of Moose and IP is to sink this site, I'm not sure, but I heavily doubt it.

I also fully support Excalibur as an admin. He may have took a giant leap into power, but he can certainly use it for the betterment of SEN. His ideas for moderation will definitely keep the cesspool of crap out of the site, and I strongly look forward to that.

Anyway, Devilesk and I have been talking, and we've come to the conclusion that what we are doing is not productive. What we should be doing is finding an alternative to Ex, to help solve IP's problem, because Ex is clearly the wrong candidate. We've pondered who would actually make a good admin, and that everyone likes. We came to the conclusion that Farty would fill this slot much better than Ex ever could. Everyone loves Farty, he's been around much longer than Ex, and he's in a more neutral position in this whole matter. With this, IP's problem of needing help is solved, and our problem of being administrated by an incompetent administrator is also solved. Sounds good, no?

Farty? He's not active enough to warrant the admin position. Being an admin requires activity and judgement above all else. Ex has both. If you want to keep digging yourself your grave, go right ahead. You won't be missed.
