So angry I have to wait a whole month to see episode 2. This show is so quality it hurts.

I don't understand the reactions? Is it because no one heard of the legend of korra before?
None.
That was my initial reaction as well.

Just wondering why MZ would be posting this here.

I've been spreading this as much as I could too. Avatar was underrated greatness, and this looks to be amazing too.
Can't wait to see wtf non-benders could possibly have up their sleeves, being powerless non-benders and all.
I think Avatar's a great show. I usually didn't like being forced to sit through the cartoons my son liked, but when he got into "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and I watched it with him, I thought "this is actually pretty good." I wound up watching the whole series on Netflix last year, on my own time. I am really looking forward to this.

I did see the entire series. I thought it a bit too childish at times, so I welcome the new, darker tone.

@MZ
If anything, the fighting animation and choreography made me want to watch Avatar

Metal Bending, yea!
So yeah, just had no idea MZ was into Avatar though. I always figured him as the quick-to-judge type.

Yaayyyyyyy
Red classic.
"In short, their absurdities are so extreme that it is painful even to quote them."
No idea what this series is. Can someone give me a rundown? Whenever I hear the word "Avatar", I think of that awful hollywood movie. But I know there was also another recent movie called "Avatar" based on The Last Airbender which I have otherwise never heard of.
Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.

Both "Avatar" movies are awful Hollywood productions. I would highly recommend not watching The Last Airbender movie.
The television show, on the other hand, is widely regarded as a great series. From
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avatar:_The_Last_Airbender:
Avatar: The Last Airbender takes place in a world home to humans, fantastic animals, and spirits. Human civilization is divided into four nations: the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. Each nation has a distinct society, wherein people known as Benders have the ability to manipulate the eponymous element of their nation using the physical motions of martial arts. The show's creators based each Bending style on an existing martial art, leading to clear visual and physical differences in the techniques used by waterbenders (T'ai chi ch'uan), Earthbenders (Hung Ga kung fu, for the most part), Firebenders (Northern Shaolin kung fu) and Airbenders (Baguazhang).[20]
Alright. So this series (Legend of Korra) is based on a classic. I think I should check this out, then. I'll probably wait for most of LoK to get released before I watch it though (I hate waiting when I get interested in something). But I have a soft spot for some old classics, like Transformers, Beast Wars, Shadow Raiders, Reboot...
In the meantime I'm gonna see if I can find the old series.

It's great so far, but I worry it will suffer from Dragon Age 2 syndrome.
Dragon Age 1 was a journey spanning all across Ferelden whereas Dragon Age 2 only concerned itself with the politics of a single city, Kirkwall.

Yer I heard a lot of bad things about Dragon Age 2. I've got Origins installed but haven't gotten around to playing it. I'm wondering if I should since it seems the sequel is a big let down.
What is generally a good summation of why DA2 was a failure?
