Haha, my friend actually told me about this a month ago. It's pretty interesting. He sent me this one and I liked it:

I do think a capella has possible standing in today's society. I consider the human voice to essentially be a musical instrument.

That is what I initially thought was going to happen when I heard the first few seconds.

These guys are very professional, but I honestly cannot take this style of music seriously.
It is a joke, really, to hear them singing that, "run-a-lee-dun" bit over and over again.

It makes me . It's not bad, but it's too weird for me to listen to say that I ike it.

I like the idea, don't really like the execution. Also, I think if they're gonna do it, they should go all the way. No instruments at all. I was expecting this and ended up being disappointed

I really like a capella, but none of these seemed good at all.

The last one is ridiculously overproduced, the other ones just don't seem like very good voices.

I can't think of any favorites I have offhand, it's mostly local or university groups that I've seen I guess.

He has several other songs if you check out his channel. Mostly pop songs, but those are the best suited to his particular style of a capella.

I like the last one, but somehow it seems shallow. Too perfect, if you know what I mean. A capella is about creativity and not about perfection.
For that reason I love Wise Guys: (A summer hit song from a few years ago)


Although I don't know if they are still quite that good if you don't understand German. Their songs are usually rather comical/entertaining which is part of their attraction. If you're interested, just search for Wise Guys on Youtube, they have a ton of songs.

Just because norm gives shit to everyone who doesn't like metal doesn't mean he's the only one who listens to metal around here. Some things like Master of Puppets should be left in the instruments they were originally performed in while others, like Nothings Else Matters, are compatible with other instruments (piano).

Except their first album. It needs to be played more, but only in recordings (or maybe if someone else could ...) since they'd murder it if they played it (which they have in live recordings).

I find that Capella or whatever you call it ruins the song... its really hard to Capella epically with just your mouth.

And i agree with jaff on this one... great song btw.

Yep. Not a capella obviously, but that's the level of vocal subtlety I expect when I hear a performance like this.

Wait he actually sung all of that himself? Amazing female voice! Although in the end he seems to get hoarse. Bad blunder at 6:00 and 1-2 times again after that. Otherwise perfect presentation.

I find it odd how good he is at belting with that female voice.
