Relatively ancient and inactive
So, I realized that even I, in my general awesomeness, say some unnecessary words while talking. Example: "
Seriously, it sounds VERY similar...". And I thought, what if I say others that are completely unnecessary and add nothing to what I say, but don't notice them? Post here things that different people say that are completely unnecessary and can often be omitted. Feel free to add in a humorous story related to these to amuse readers, too. I'll try to make a list up on top and update it.

None.
I am the bomb when it comes to presentations in school. I try my hardest to make people laugh whither it be by comparisons, criticisms, or just talking really fast in long statements to basically wrap up little details. I attempt to not say 'ah' or 'um' for fillers during silence when moving to my next point. During a presentation once, I counted the amount of times this girl I used to know used 'ah', 'um', and any unnecessary 'like's. I forget the numbers now, but I know it was a lot. I told her so she counted me when I had to present. It pissed her off that I successfully did not say any of the three.
Anyway, I always use the words 'usually' and 'actually' like I need to explain myself more.
It is not needed, but my mind is not suited until I press the little, unneeded information.
I can basically sum up what I need to say, but I will continue on like I need to back up my statements.
See, I did it again. This time with 'basically'.
None.
I always add in probably to things I'm unsure of or dont really care about.
PERSON: "You're going to school today."
ME: "Yeah.. probably."
None.
If everything I said was absolute truth, I wouldn't know anything. I would be clueless even about my own existence... since my immediate response to any question is typically "I don't know."

When I speak English I tend to end many sentences with "...and such."
I almost always say "No, but um" after everything I say
I say the word "bro" a lot at the start or end of sentences
None.
Words like these aren't just useless fetter...
They are literary devices that can be used many ways, although less so for presentations.
Just my 2 cents.
"Essentially"

Just here for the activity... well not really
I use similes and other figures of speech, not just online, when talking casually.
Also like everyone else that grows up in America I say "um" every 4 seconds
guy lifting weight (animated smiley):
O-IC
OI-C
"Oh, I see it"
Actually... thinking about it... I met a person with extreme ADHD... They said EVERY SINGLE LINE like this:
I, um, god willingly, will wanna host a game, and all that jazz.
You, uh, have a cool avatar, god willingly and all that jazz.
I kid you not.
I can't even emulate how painful it was to read it... OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER...

I say "you know" a lot, I'd add that to the list
None.
Many of those words are useful.
Like - Not this one. stop saying it
Seriously - Filler
Basically - Useful for saying that you are simplifying things
Well - Filler
Anyway(s) - It's a good transition words
Probably - Useful for saying "I'm not sure, but there's reason to believe this"
Sorta - probably not the best choice of a word
So - It's a transition, but I could see how it could be abused
The phrase "by itself" or any variant - I don't know how you could abuse this.
Even (as in I don't even have...") - It's for emphasis. If you use it all the time, then it loses its purpose.
Really - See above
See - Filler
I try to eliminate my usage of "like" and "uh/um". I'm making progress on the latter, but the former is tough.
tits
I don't know if I say "uh" or "um" a lot ... I usually just include pauses (except people usually see that as a way to interrupt me ...)

"and all that jazz" must be because he was retarded. The filler phrases are because it's hard to remember what is being said (and he was probably retarded) ..
If I forget what I'm telling someone, I'll just add things like "so... then..." with a lot of pause letting me remember what I was talking about.
(Except once I remember I usually say "Oh!", which probably makes it very obvious that I no longer know what I am talking about.

See can be used to indicate a digression, particularly when someone's beginning an explanation and can't (or doesn't care to) find a transition to use. Being that it's a total break in flow (rather than a transition), it's not the most recommended way to begin an explanation of the thing you are presently discussing, but it works nonetheless.
"Yeah, if you just started, you're probably gonna have a hard time starting a match.
See, Bungie wasn't prepared for all these people testing the beta at once, so their servers are getting full. It's like trying to get a dinner table at a fancy restaurant with a shit-ton of people in it. You're gonna have to wait for a seat."
But if you add too much of a pause afterward, then it becomes more of a filler word.
"Well, yeah... I don't have my homework.
See,... I was working on my computer when my script kiddie friend DDOS'd me. Yeah... He ran this program,
see..."
None.
See, I've just like totally given up on the english language and basically really don't even give a shit about my language cleanliness anymore.
