its kinda suprising that no one has said Bob Marley yet

1. Pink Floyd
2. Led Zeppelin
3. Rush
4. Yes
5. The Jimi Hendrix Experience

im kinda into a lot of classic rock, but a little bit of other genres but not much else

i've actually seen rush live a couple times, but unfortunatly, i wont ever be able to see any of the others live

Lucky bastard. I had tickets to see Rush this summer but circumstances didn't allow for me to go. If you ever get the chance to see "Led Zepplica" do it. They did an AWESOME job when I saw them. Also you can see the Australian Pink Floyd if you want to see Pink Floyd. They're really close to the real thing from what I've heard. I've also seen a cover band that goes by "The Pink Floyd Experience" and they did a very good job (same night as Led Zepplica - LZ headlined it). Sweet avatar btw.

yeah i've seen Aussie Floyd, and let me tell you, they were incredible. though its not the same as a pink floyd concert from the 70's, its still pretty awesome. even live they sound like the recordings from pink floyd.

then i've seen a couple led zeppelin tributes; Houses of the Holy and Celebration Day, and those guys are pretty local though im pretty sure

houses of the holy did this incredibly amazing version of no quarter that if u get the chance to see it, its freakin amazing. it has an extended solo and an almost floydian light show with it

i think i've heard of led zepplica before cause they're like a mix of metallica and led zeppelin aren't they?

and thanks, i just think robert plant is incredably sexy and so why not have him as ur avatar :D

Feel free to look around the site. They're straight led zeppelin and I'd consider their 'version' of ever led zeppelin song to be amazing. He even did the violin bow solo in Dazed and Confused. It was awesome.

I actually like Chevelle, though I wouldn't say my favorite.

I think idea is that it seems like you're referencing a Pink Floyd concert from the 70's as if you'd know first-hand.

My list (though these are just 5 random artists I really like):
Children of Bodom
Radiohead
Caribou
Aphex Twin (not a band, but whatever)
My Chemical Romance

They Might Be Giants

Ash
The Chemical Brothers
Ash is great, but I have lost taste in them over the years. The other three bands/artists still stand strong!

Pretty much all of my most favorite bands have been named already, so I'll just quote them.

Quote from Lakai
UnderOATH
Quote from Excalibur
Taking Back Sunday
Quote from Excalibur
Brand New
Quote from Dapperdan
Bright Eyes
Quote from poison_us
Slipknot

I'll throw Atreyu, From Autumn to Ashes, and AFI on that list for good measure. I'd keep going but then I'd just keep going.

Figure I'll add that I have quite a few band tees for the above-listed bands, in addition to many others. I also have a lot of music from the above groups on my MP3 player, with playlists for most of those mentioned (actually, there's one for all of the quoted bands).

My main hoodie is Underoath, and my tertiary one is Atreyu.

Quote from MadZombie
1. Escape The Fate
2. Silverstein
3. Breaking Benjamin
4. Saosin
5. Alexisonfire
6. Alesana
7. Funeral for a Friend
8. Bleed the Dream
9. All That Remains

I like all of those to varying degrees, although none would make it on my favorites list.

👻 👾 👽 💪

Been listening to a bunch of 90s seattle bands lately :awesome:
Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, and Nirvana
I listened to grunge a lot before, then I started listening to some metal, and now I'm going back to grunge. xD

Relatively ancient and inactive

My favorite band is Nightwish; 11 of my 15 top-played songs are by them. Revolving around them are some other metal bands, generally fairly similar: Rammstein, Eluveitie (not the growling stuff) Krypteria, Within Temptation, Leaves' Eyes, Apocalyptica, Samael, Sirenia.

I also listen to some new age while working (like right now!): David Arkenstone, Saltillo, Emancipator, Dirty Elegance, George Winston, Mythos, E. S. Posthumus, Yanni, Exchange, Jim Chappell, David Lanz, some more. I pay for Zune Pass, so I can play pretty much any band/song I want whenever I want; sometimes I'll just pick a random classical pianist and play.

Then there are Russian bands I love, but generally listen less to now (since I've had them longest): Nautilius Pompelius, Kino, Bi-2, Ocean Elzi, Brothers Grimm, Zveri, Lubeh, DDT, Vysotsky (all transliterated).
