All of SC2's campaign Kerrigan's new voice and how incredibly badly implemented she was in 'All In'.
How about just that one mission? It's the most repetitive thing I've ever played. And yeah, kerrigan was retarded in that mission. Respawning every 5 minutes while saying some cheesy threat only to die 5 minutes later was really lame.

As a die-hard BSG fan, I have to disagree.

While I was originally annoyed they didn't use the original voice actor, I have to say that Tricia Helfer did a great job.

Lord of the Locker Room

I personally believed Kerrigan's voice was one of the best in the entire campaign. Now, the Overmind, Tassadar, the Taldarim guy... ugh.

Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.

Earth 2160

Earth 2150 was nice but no one even knew it existed, idk how they could screw the sequel up so badly...

Lord of the Locker Room

The Earth series is a lot bigger in Germany/Europe than in western countries. Unfortunately, 2160 still flopped there as well. It was a genuine disaster.

wth is starcraft

Mirror's Edge. It dazzled me in with its graphics and cool trailers, but turned out to be a real bomb.
The game was short, the story was terrible, and the game-play involved you falling to your death constantly.

Hands down, Mirror's Edge is the worst game I have bought for the current console generation, and I have some pretty sloppy third-party games.

After watching my bf try to kill himself trying to do PK irl, and then watching the game, I found it enjoyable.

Oh she did a good job with Kerrigan, but I loved the voice acting of SC1, and she could never replace the original.

Gotta hand it to Blizzard though, In Utter Darkness was fucking awesome. Even if that was the only memorable mission in the game it was still great.

Having played every single defense map in sc1 (and now hating them all) the sc2 version of it couldn't impress me much.
Without innovation killing one wave after another wasn't very inspiring.
Cool thing was all the heroes you could control. I very much missed that in sc2 (compared to sc1 where you often got heroes). But that was offset again by the sheer mass of the units you had to control, so the individual heroes weren't important at all.
So the only only memorable thing of the mission was the story. That you witnessed the extinction of the Protoss race.
It was a nice change of pace though, but the WoL campaign was generally pretty varied, so I wouldn't count that as a plus for the individual mission.

As a die-hard BSG fan...
...you should play Battlestar Galactica Online with me. I've got ships on Picon and Libran.

I'm pretty disappointed of the Need for Speed franchise. Or rather what has become of it starting with Most Wanted because with that it became boring that every game was just the same as Underground 1. I've played through any NfS until Undercover which just bored me so I quit it after a few missions and never touched a NfS since then.
The newer NfS's sound interesting though: Back to the roots.
Shift: Racing, aka NfS 2. (not SE :( Watching real videos of the cars while listening to their specs was a really cool feature)
Hot Pursuit (3): police chases, aka NfS HP
I'm gonna try them some time and give the franchise another chance.

Agreed on Mirror's Edge
Its trailers were Awesome, but it was a big flop
I got used to the jumping mechanics (surprisingly), and I rarely died from platforming

What really boiled my urine was the combat. It's nearly impossible, and it shouldn't even be a big part of the game. Combat should serve only as a choice - You either fight off the baddies, or you try to jump through a really hard platforming section.
Not only did they make combat mandatory for the later sections to "increase the difficulty", they totally fucked it. One has to wait for the guys with the guns to melee attack you, so you can, in a split-second, time and steal their weapon. By then, you'd've been made a human swiss cheese, cause the SWAT team ALWAYS comes in groups.
Even if you stole their weapons, it is useless because your cursor speed is super fast in order for you to platform w/o constantly dying, your weapon's cursor is also super fast... to an extent where it was impossible to aim.

UGHHHH

@Civ V
I liked the hexagonal tiles. If you choose not to show the grid, it makes the land look very pwetty.. but I agree w/ everything else
There IS a low graphics option... but it looks like you're playing a board game. so it sux either way.

@SC2 Campaign
Don't even get me started....

>be faceless void >mfw I have no face

When I opened up SC2's editor for the first time and realized it looked like it was from the 90s. That moment hurt bad.

NFS Prostreet just generally was a fail.

Mirrors edge I thought was pretty fun, but I just played it for the free running, not for the combat or storyline.

Red classic.

Stuff about NFS
I haven't had the chance to play the new Hot Pursuit much yet, but what I've seen wasn't very impressive. Before buying it I kinda expected something close to a remake of NFS3, which was awesome, but with new cars and tracks. However each race turned out to be 'drive from point A to B without being caught and beat the competitors to it' or if you're the cop; 'stop the racer(s) from getting to the finish line'. And as you might already know, the game was developed by Criterion, the makers of the Burnout franchise (which also was pretty cool a few years back). If you didn't, you'll notice it when you begin playing (assuming you've played at least some Burnout). You got both a boost tank which fills up if you're driving risky and you can/must stop the police and/or the other racers by slamming your car into them. Tbh a more suitable name for the game would be Burnout: Hot Pursuit, cause it reminds me more of that than of NFS, granted, I haven't played any NFS since Underground 2, but as you said, pretty much everything after that sucked.

I might be wrong about some or all of this, cause I've only played it for about an hour and it's been a while. I'll see if I can try it out more when I go home for Easter to a computer which hopefully won't overheat after playing it for 20 minutes.

Doom 3.
Underwhelming game in general, but with my sympathy. How could it hold up against the original two? You couldn't possibly hope to live up to one of the original FPS games.

Let me show you how to hump without making love.

Armored Core games. They did an Amazing job with Armored Core 2 Another Age and Armored Core 4, but then the next games after that, when you expect it to be better than the last, it fails.

Final Fantasy 13, the most linear game I have ever played. Even more linear than the original Mario. Hell, Pacman has a better exploration aspect than FF13 did.

Starcraft 2, it just sucks.

Civ V was dissapointing

I sort of felt the same way.

Civ V cons:
-Biggest disappointments: no SHIFT to queue production, no ALT to select all units in tile :massimo:)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that Civ V limits you to one unit per tile, therefore making the Alt Select null and void?

Sid Meiers are notorious for initial release problems, which is why I'm waiting for them to patch the game up a bit and for the price to fall. That way, if it is a total ballsack, then I'll at least not have wasted $$$s and the patches generally tend to spruce things up a bit.

I never had trouble with Mirror's Edge because my aim was always spot on; for some reason, I get headshots even if my sensitivity is enough that, when aiming, I unintentionally spin in circles three times between each shot. Headshots. Please tell me that was a glitch.
My horror: the new AvP. I can't believe no one has mentioned it; it was a complete atrocity for which I'm very glad I did not waste my money. The prior games were fast-paced, difficult, and had exceptional modding and mapping, while their dirty off-brand cousin had absolutely NOTHING but blood and guts; no gameplay, no difficulty, and above all, no thought. Repulsive to be sure, but ultimately, the issue is that it was completely unplayable. Part of it was the utter lack of balance; a clueless Predator shooting at his feet could unintentionally one-hit two marines and the alien sneaking up on them from a mile away. AvP2 was a bit imba, but not like that.
Let's not even start on the repetitiveness. Let's also not mention that the last even half-decent game that Sega made was Sonic, and they decided to fill size 256 boots.
God save you if you spent the time to read all that.

God didn't save me, because it doesn't exist.
AvP wasn't a disappointment for me because I never played it because I got warned. :P

Ace Combat 6. Bandai tried to do what Namco / Project Aces did in AC04 and AC5, and did a TERRIBLE job.

And to think I let DM buy an Xbox instead of a PS3 to get the fucking game. What a waste.
