Thinking back, you remember the owner inviting you while you were on one of your bus routes. He would occasionally get on the bus, and you thought it was odd because he dressed it a way that made him seem wealthy. You considered that perhaps he was just a bit eccentric, and left it at that. One day he asked you if you'd like to come to a get-together at his place, and you thought that perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to check his place out for a few hours. If nothing else, you'd at least know if he was really as well-off as you'd imagined him to be.

After arriving at the house, the owner was chatting with the guests in the lobby, making small talk. None of them struck you as familiar. You talked to a number of them, though it was never anything noteworthy, just idle chatter. You're unsure of how many of the other guests you ended up talking to, although you're sure it was a majority. After a bit of such conversing, the owner gave everyone a brief tour of the house, after which you headed to the sunroom to sit and relax.

While looking out the window, enjoying the scenery, you remember hearing at least two people enter and leave the room behind you, though you thought little of it at the time. You were looking at the night sky for the most part, lost in your thoughts much of the time, but also remember seeing at least three shadowy figures move through the yard in front of you; one moving from west to east, the other two times moving from east to west.

Wing Zero eventually entered the room from the lobby, sitting down across the table from you, and after a few minutes you decided to find a new place to wait for dinner. As you entered the lobby, you found the owner's corpse, which is what caused you to let out a startled scream. You do not remember seeing anyone leaving as you entered the room.
