You think back to when you met the owner. He was one of the members of your swimming aerobics class, where you often went to remain fit. You'd never actually spoken to him before, so you were surprised when he approached you and asked you to come for the weekend. You declined at first, but he insisted you come for at least a few hours, and said he would provide transportation. You decided it couldn't hurt and agreed. You are not sure who, if anyone, he knew well enough that they could hold a grudge against him.

As you finish recollecting this, you hear the door to the south unlock, and it opens.

You think back to when you were invited to stay here by the owner. He was a man you didn't knew at all, although he dressed in a way that indicated he might be somewhat wealthy. The only time you had met him was while you were ringing out his groceries at the store, where you work as a cashier. He stuck out to you due to his style of dress, and you'd seen him at the register a few times. When he asked if you would attend a get-together at his place for the weekend, you were fairly surprised. However, upon arriving and mingling with the other guests, you got the distinct impression that he had invited many of the people the same way. No one seemed to be particularly close to him, or even know him that well.

After arriving, you took your bags up to your room, which you found you were sharing with Wing Zero, and slid them under the bed. You left the room to go to the bathroom, and after finishing, entered the hallway just as DavidJCobb was leaving down the stairs. You returned to your room to find Wing Zero gone. You emptied the clothes from your bag, organized them in your designated dresser, and as you finished, you heard the scream which caused you to go downstairs.

You did not know the owner well enough to determine who might have a reason to kill him, and didn't get the impression from any of the guests that they knew him well enough to have such a reason.

Yeah, I'm hanging around the upstairs hall on the very east part I think. I'm moving to the northeast bedroom though and giving it a more thorough search. Is there something you need help with?

Who came out of there?

We now know the guests have been here for at least a few hours. We'll need to know more. Another murder is likely still to have taken place during this time, which could give us a big lead if we can track it down.

"Today was almost a complete loss, as I didn't find anyone who would agree to come to the house for even a little while. In fact, I met very few people I even had the opportunity to ask at all. However, I went to a local restaurant for dinner, where they serve a superb apple pie. It's usually filled with families, but tonight there was a man sitting in one of the booths by himself, and I noticed he was looking around occasionally, as if he were looking for someone. I thought that perhaps he was lonely as well, being in a place like this alone, and made a point of approaching him to ask if he would like to come to my house this weekend. It seemed to brighten his mood, and his reaction leads me to believe that even if it turns out he can't stay the whole weekend, he'll at least come for a few hours. I suppose today was productive after all."

You attempt to move north, but the closed door is locked.

Someone says from the south, "Just me. I'll be out there in a moment."

A moment later, Tuxedo-Templar enters from the south, carrying a bed comforter over his shoulder like a sack. He also has a leather bound book sticking out of the side of his waistline. He quickly looks down the hall in both directions, then sets the sack down for a moment to pull out the book and open it. He flips through, then stops on a page and begins reading.
