Um, so im ctrying to convert some in-game screen shots of sc, but scmp doesn't seem to want to work. I've used it before and it has worked perfectly, but now however, it won't work at all. Everytime i try to open a picture, it gives me this message and then closes scmp on me. So, can anyone help me out with the why, and how I can fix it?

I had no such problems with SC Picture Mapper in my limited experience with it. I suggest you just reinstall the programm.

Eh? You're trying to convert screenshots? Sounds like you need an image converter, not SCPM. If this is the case, I would recommend the free software from Etrusoft. (The converter program is called "Easy Graphic Converter").

If this is not the case and you meant to say that you wanted an image to be on the minimap of a StarCraft map:

Remember, if you have StarEdit open at the same time as this program it WILL NOT be able to create a map file, this is the most common problem!

I'm not sure about SCPM 5, but SCPM 4 requires Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1.

Well, from my experience with scmp, and what I've done before, is during a starcraft game i press "Print Screen". Doing this snaps a screen shot. Then, I open scmp and open the selected screen shot that I have just opened. From there, I save the screen shot as a JPG. I think this is what I have done, but it has been a while, so if I'm dooing this wrong can someone tell me.

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

step 1.
Download irfanview
step 2.
Open <insert filename in %SCPATH%/>.scx in irfanview
step 3.
press 's' and save as a png.
step 4. (optional)
download the pngout plugin for irfanview and use it to compress the png.

fyi, png is lossless, and especially small when using 8 bit depth (which SC is).

Try SCPM 4. It has never failed me.

Remember that you have to have MS .net Framework 1.1 installed in order to run SCPM 4.

Also, Vista is bad. Don't use it. Wait for Windows 7 and use Windows XP in the meantime.
