Is there a way to mix tilesets on one map, such as getting some snow tiles on a badlands tileset map? If there is a wat to do this, it would be amazing, as I am currently representing snow with rocky ground

Look at it this way, when StarCraft: II arrives, you have a 99% chance that it will have Tileset mixing. ^^

99% chance? Try 100% chance, we already know it's in there :P

SCII does not have the palette restrictions that SCI has. That's why tileset mixing is possible there.

We aren't entirely certain that StarCraft: II will support tileset mixing.
Sure, WarCraft: III had it, but you never know... :omfg:  :P

The thing people who are really religious do where they try to go to other countries and convert people.

On topic (kind of): We should really have a sticky that flat out says you can't mix tilesets without modding. I see this question asked a lot.

Hmm, maybe a map making FAQ and a terraining FAQ would be useful. Maybe also a modding FAQ?

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless
[2024-5-06. : 5:02 am]
Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value
[2024-5-06. : 5:01 am]
Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Ultraviolet -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
[2024-5-06. : 12:51 am]
Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
