Other than the installation, the game should run in standard user mode. Vista can actually do some limited admin virtualization, tricking programs into thinking they are running as admin when they aren't actually.

@KK: I didn't see it, and mine is better. Moose even said it himself. :P

Hmm, that seems like high requirements. I might even have to get a new computer :\

Just go to safe mode.

Many fan sites are mirroring an article published by a Spanish Magazine called Micromania. To clarify, all system specifications made in that article are only speculations and are not official system specification for StarCraft II at all.

Like all Blizzard games, we aim to have a vast majority of PC owners to be able to run StarCraft II, but there are no official optimal or minimum specifications for the game at this time.

Yeah, silly game magazines :P
Although my computer would fit int the "recommended" requeriments group :D

?????

I can easily run StarCraft II then. ^^

But really, I'm looking forward to the official announcements by Blizzard, not through a magazine.

Dont these specs seem a little... low?

None.

Hm, well my 8800 GT can run Crysis on high with 2 gigs of ram... so no, they're actually ridiculously high for a strategy game.

None.

My computer will tear SC2 apart then (Q6600, 8800GT, 3GB RAM). I think those are reasonable specs for a good range of computers though.

My laptop can run it easily, though I'll be needing a new PC, but that has been the plan for the last 8 years or so...wait for Starcraft II to get a new PC ^^.

My compy is old, it only has 756mb of RAM. :-(

But my brother's computer (which will be mine if he ever gets a freakin' dorm) has 2gb, so it's all good. :}
