Dear SEN members,

I think we've all heard about this project, initiated by WoodenFire and Lethal_Illusion in the past years, of a 42 hours long RPG (of in-game playing, I mean). Well, we all though it would never get done and as many were saying, the project got abandoned.
The reason? A stupid Corrupted String!! The last back-up was missing about 500 triggers of the latest version so Lethal got lazy and just stopped working on it (because yes, even if WoodenFire had quited, he was still working on it).
Anyway, I'm writing this because for my part, I still want this RPG to get done (it has SO MANY nice features) and I still ask Lethal is he would ever finish it and you know what?!? He said he would!!!
Yes, he would!! But with a condition: Someone must find/create a program which Uncorrupt Strings!!!
So I'm asking to ALL this community of map makers: Please, find or make one!! Imagine a world without Crescent Dyne RPG in it!!

Map was shit all along, I kept telling lethal to stop wasting his time, if you're gonna make me sign onto starcraft just to yell at him payne, i'm gonna be mad.

A world without Crescent Dyne would be a world without Woodenfire and a world without Woodenfire would be just a little bit a happier place.

What did WoodenFire did to you?

Yes, someone needs to create this program ASAP! The world cannot live without Crescent Dyne, the greatest map never made!

SO EVERYONE MUST STOP WHAT THEY'RE DOING AND HELP THE CRESCENT DYNE CAUSE. WE ALL MUST CONTRIBUTE SO WE CAN PRODUCE ANOTHER 100 PAGE TOPIC. THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE GREATEST MAP EVER.

Lethal should of had a back up of all those triggers. Not my fault he's an idiot.

Which string..? And you can move triggers from one place to another.

Also it isn't reasonable to just say "Make a program that uncorrupts strings!", it helps to know how it is corrupted.
Could someone send me the map, or the STR section at the very least?

I'm moving this topic to "ideas" since you haven't offered any screenshots, therefore we have no proof that this is actually a work in progress or an idea you're tossing at us for feedback. Regular screenshots also helps to give forum users an idea of your progress and a visual representation of what your map is supposed to be.

Update your first post with screenshots and then PM a moderator and we will move it back.

Wow... I'm just trying to revive a map that seemed to be good!!
But as I can see, like every single SEN member has something against at least one other SEN members...
Why saying Wooden is such a shame and Lethal is stupid? That's both untrue!!
Lethal is a freaking genius and Wooden made many things for all of you, particularly into terraining.
Plus, Yoshi, I think we all know Crescent Dyne exists and I shared a map... A map is way better than a screenshot!
Anyway, leave it like that. The only guy that seems to care about this and doesn't post some crappy comments is Farty.

Admins, you can close this, it's an 3pic fail since there seems to be only two members that are serious about it.

Just because people started flaming and reporting for no reason doesn't mean that it is an epic fail. I think Farty is the most qualified to do this and I have total confidence in him. (maybe the thread should be cleaned/restarted though)

Alright hold up now im confused about the original purpose of this topic.

If Crescent Dyne RPG is YOUR MAP and currently INCOMPLETE and the map link you posted is YOUR MAP, INCOMPLETE, then I'll move it back to maps in production.

At this very moment it doesn't matter what your opinions are on this map and its creators, I'm just interested in understanding the purpose of this topic and why its worth keeping in the maps in production forum.

He isn't remaking Crescent Dyne, and from the looks of it he assumes Lethal will be finishing it if this program is created. So it's safe to say this topic should remain here, though it isn't very productive.

Payne is just some sort of a middle-man, I suppose.

I don't see a reason to lock the topic, but if any of you have no interest in contributing to payne's idea then simply don't post in it and it will die on its own if nobodies interested.

Surely you can negociate to get such a corrupted map.

Yeah... Uh, you really do not need a program to find this, you just need the help of a modder to look into the map a little bit and find what's wrong.

Despite the 2 new reports on the first post, I'm going to go with Yoshi on this one. This technically isn't doing any damage, and won't as long as people let it die.

If he had used text triggering technique he won't loose his triggers...

I've just have a look at terrain. OH MY GOD! I've just thought.... If Lethtal_Illusion won't be against... perhaps we could turn this into the shared SEN project, where each could participate in it's development. This could be done using the version control and trigger text editing technique the Tuxedo-Templar described.

I'm not sure if shared projects would work. Working on the same thing 2 people is already a challenge because there are things that you want to do one way but the other one wants to do other way and there's always disputes. Plus it's their map, they are the ones who will decide.
