Black player color

Hey all I've messed with scmdraft a lot and know there's about 255 different "potential" player colors that can be used. I'm looking for a nice solid black one that doesn't look all messy when applied to different units/buildings of a specific race. If anyone has some good recommendations for the # of color to use in scmdraft could they please drop a line.

Well, 19 or 20 look okay, and a lot of the higher numbers, 150 and up, have pretty good blacks, if you want precision, use PColor, it's a program that lets you view how ever color looks, on any unit, on any tileset, as colors change depending on which tileset you're on.

Note that it's not perfect, and some colors, like 192, which looks like perfect black on all tilesets, isn't the same in-game as it is in PColor.

Read #3. Seriously:

And there would be much more if I slightly altered my search query.

Use this.

Isn't like 56 a good one ..?

If you need a black that shows black (instead of transparent) even on the leaderboard then use #64. It's a slightly lighter tone of black but barely noticable if you can't compare. Also works on all tilesets

Which colors have the crashing flag sydrome?

It's kinda random, as some just steal pictures from other units, but I think it's almost any above 30, or something like that.

Many, if not all of the colors you don't find in the drop down list.

Damn. So that means black colors are off-limits.

I would test it before assuming that, as the earlier colors might have a black flag, and it's also possible that they just grab a random unit's portrait instead.

:payne:

If a player #9,10,11,13 to 'x' own a flag, if you click it, you'll crash.

You can't mix colors, there's simply 256 different ones.

Sometimes a flags portrait wont crash, it will just freeze the static. I've never looked into crashing flags.

Staredit Puckwork

In the Map Description tab in SCM Draft, you enter the player color number into it's slow(it's labeled) and you can use the program PColor to find what number you want.

It may help if you gave specific messages rather than "... something about dependencies."

NudeRaider -- PSA: ASUS apparently decided their RMA department needs to "become profitable" and for a while now outright tries to scam customers. They were called out on it a year ago, promised to change, but didn't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pMrssIrKcY so my recommendation: Stop buying ASUS, and if you already have and need something RMA'd, make sure to not let them bully you into paying.
