Yeah, if I see someone being an asshole to someone else, I'll often tell them to go fuck off, but I didn't see a whole lot of that at my high school and definitely none at college.

Relatively ancient and inactive

Last time I fought, maybe 3 years ago, and that was ridiculously short and with no winner (don't remember why). And no one initiated a fight with me. I'm just that likable :P.

I find fights fun to watch, nothing more.

Heh, people don't fight around me, because if they do they will know I will intervene. And if you assault me I will retaliate mercilessly.
I guess being an athlete 150 lb. and 5'8" has a little to do with it.

No offense or anything, but at 5'8, 150 that means your fat bro not an athlete. Or you have unhuman like large muscles (highly unlikely).

But to me, I think that if you fight in school your pretty much a complete idiot.

I know a couple of people that would be in that weight and height range that are pretty ripped.

I'm not fat at all, and I'm not really "ripped." I'm a runner, which means my legs are nice and muscular, which make up most of the weight in my body, that and my core, which is pretty strong as well... but as for my arms... their more like like slightly defined.
I can run a 5k in 19:00 minutes, I'm a runner, I run... and I have a physically trained body.

Mine are too.. even shorter now, since a lot of teams in our divison have adopted the idea of having a shorter course in an attempt to give their team an advantage, including our team, except we are the only ones to really introduce TONS of hills, and it's worked for 2 meets so far.

How in the hell would that give them an advantage... It is shorter for everyone...
Let's shorten it to 3 miles... oh great... Now I only have to run 2.9 and use my legendary (yes, it is legendary) sprint on the last .1, thus cutting at least 60 seconds off my time. I'm at around 18:30 at the 3 mile point. And thats before I start sprinting.

👻 👾 👽 💪

Hmm. Some kid decided he wanted to fight me when I was laughing at him because he got hit in the head with a small rock (and was crying.) It wasn't much of a fight... I was trying to push him into a soccer goal post, but he didn't go backwards straight and ended up in the net. Then he lunched at me and wrapped his arms around my neck... I just stood up straight and lifted him off the ground (lol@short people.) Someone got a picture of him cowering... Then the gym coach came so everyone ran off.

Because some teams train more for things like running shorter distances, or flat terrain, etc. Some teams are built with members who are better at stuff like that, etc..

I got around 6:50 on one mile, when I was 12ish.

None.

Sep 19 2007, 12:21 am Akar Post #38

6:50 is ungodfully slow... My race today... which was horrible race for me, I ran a 5:56 first mile (which is what I usually run for my first mile).

ohhh, and if they shortened it to the point where speed people win it is SO easily noticable. Just tell them that the course isn't a 5k. If my friend Adam ran in the 15:00s or 14:00s instead of the 16:00s, he would know the course was shorter, because the jump from 16:00s to 15:00s is a massive jump.

Sep 19 2007, 2:08 am ~:Deathawk:~ Post #39

6:50 is fine for a 12 year old who doesn't train at all. It beat anything I could do at 12 years old.

And damn, my race sucked today too.. fucking 20th place, Coach flat out told me I sucked today.. first mine was 6:38, which was ~ 8th best on the team, but after then, it went all downhill.. legs cramped up, etc. I need new shoes :( fawking hills

Sep 19 2007, 2:20 am Akar Post #40

Cramps are caused by improper breathing, you're supposed to breath with your stomach, not your chest. I got 15th place with a mere 20:18, that was horrible... for me. But I clap to you for even running ;).
