https://youtu.be/RxVBOHczg-E?t=76Look a that day to night transition! Anyone have any clue how that would be done??
EUDA's to change palette colors and vision radius I'd guess.

Looks like how it looks when you pause the game, so maybe some eud's involving that?
If it's not euds, I'll be very impressed

and you aren't when it is EUDs?

Fair point. I guess I'd be
more impressed.

Wow
I find it hilarious how they have something like that, but are still using factory-built methods.

Alright, reverse engineered the effects. It's actually modifying SC's brightness!

You magnificent son of a bitch.
I had my doubts it was to do with the pause because I was sure when you pause all the colour goes out of the game. Whereas in their game the unit colour seemed to be retained.
I just tested that. It didn't do anything? I use windows 10 and chaos launcher, FYI.

This could have been a good illusion trick in my map *_*

Are EUD maps as easy to run as normal maps? Do they require any additional files? Or is it just download and play?
I made the following maps; Hyperion 2, The Undead, The Undead Coop, Realm Rpg beta, and Overlords.
If they have EUD actions, you'll need to use the EUD Enabler to be able to play the map. EUD conditions are just special conditions that let you detect different things, so you can play those maps normally as you would any other map.
An EUD enabler is just a simple patcher that you run when launching SC, and the actions will be enabled and you can play EUD maps until you close SC and run it normally. If you are interested, the link to my enabler is in my signature.
TinyMap2 - Latest in map compression! ( 7/09/14 - New build! )

EUDDB -
topic - Help out by adding your EUDs! Or Submit reference files in the References tab!
MapSketch - New image->map generator!

Your design decides. EUDs can be used as a mapping tool (conditions only) and then, by definition, nothing further is required.
But if you decide EUD conditions aren't enough for your map, you use a program to exceed the mapping capabilities (a.k.a. modding or in this case, "modding light"), so StarCraft also accepts EUD actions. But then, everyone who is to experience these actions has to use the EUD (action) enabler.
Oooh.. that's how it was.
Good explanation.
