Cartography Artisan

What OS are you on? (SCMDraft is known to have problems on windows 8+, could try compatibility mode(s) but there not like to help much).

Should download from here (if you downloaded from anywhere else your version is slightly old): http://www.staredit.net/topic/8307/

I'm using windows 7, editor works correctly unincluding space maps. I will try version that you offer.
UPD: Nope, still crashing.

Some versions of scmdraft do not work well with space tiletset. You may actually wanna try an older version, as those worked better with space, I think.

It's still not working even in 0.4.5 v.

There's a chance this will work, but really I don't know...

StabilityHack

Instructions: Run the SCMDraft shortcut in the download.

Explanation: The shortcut will launch StabilityHack with SCMDraft as an argument, StabilityHack will inject a DLL into SCMDraft which calls SetErrorMode(flags) with SEM_NOALIGNMENTFAULTEXCEPT, meaning that windows will not terminate the program for memory violations (source is included, you could run it for any program by editing the first argument to a different program's path). This will only work if SCMDraft does not catch the error on its own then terminate itself. Fair warning: if successful the program may still be corrupting its own memory which could cause other errors or render the program useless until it is restarted.

Starcraft 1 don't want to see me as builder of maps...

I have never seen that issue before. You might want to check your game files and reinstall StarCraft because it's likely that an mpq was corrupted.

Lol, i reinstalled and... editor is now not working at all.

An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death

Could be many things from permissions issues to screwing up your paths. Where did you install SC? How exactly is the editor not working "at all"? What error are you getting?

I'm gonna guess that ScmDraft doesn't know how to locate the MPQs anymore, in which case, the solution is quite simple: edit the default profile (or whichever one you're using) and fix the SC directory to be the folder where you installed SC.

For permission issues, it's generally advised to not install SC within your Program Files folder. I've been putting my games in C:\Games since the early-2000's. You could try running ScmDraft as an administrator to get past this potential issue as well.

For the record, the latest version of ScmDraft should handle space terrain perfectly fine.

Okay, i re-installed SC one another time and now editor working, but space still not working. The patch to SC i installed as first step.
Error... I don't know, it just says "Something bad happend..." I can send the dump, if it will help.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Here's something you can try:
- Copy ScmDraft to a custom folder where you have full access
- Delete the backup database in this copy (backupDB.scmdDB) (you can try running it from there now, for a possible quick fix)
- Uninstall ScmDraft
- Clean the registry of any ScmDraft entries
- Restart your computer
- Start ScmDraft
- Point it to your sc files
- if it still doesn't work copy sc to a custom folder where you have full access as well (unless you already installed it in such a folder) then change the registry entries for sc paths (or use this.)
- report back to us

For documentation purposes, what did you do (last) to make it work?

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless
[05:02 am]
Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value
[05:01 am]
Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort

Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
