Hi,

Does Displaying Leader/Score Board using a local memory condition cause a desynch?

For example, suppose I want to let players cycle through various score boards using the Fkey (say F7). Will this desynch the game?

None.

Cartography Artisan

That won't cause desyncs

An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death

It will not cause a desync. There's a list of global and local actions in this post (which also explains basically everything you need to know about synchronization): http://www.staredit.net/304566/

Someone could make a whole menu system out of this, without it ever interfering with the game. Would be sweet!

don't forget that you can use leaderboard of kills of extended units to show death counters on the leaderboard (or any address after that in fact). Much easier to do than transferring things into custom score and back.

Unfortunatelly this kind of menu is almost useless, since it can't essentially affect the game because of desync. :(

Some.
