I've got Fable: The Lost Chapters on my PC and when I first installed it, it worked properly. I stopped playing it for a couple weeks, however, and now it won't seem to load. When I double click on it, I get the blue wheel thing that appears next to the mouse in W7 (to show that the program is loading), but the game doesn't run. It comes up in my processes in task manager, and deleting old processes of the game doesn't seem to do anything. I re-installed it, but I still get the same problem. :( How to fix?

Man, I remember Fable. Here's a few questions you should answer to properly start this topic off:

1) Is this a legit store-bought copy of the game, or did you torrent or otherwise obtain it?
2) How many successful launches of the game have you had? Was it only the first one?
3) What have you installed or otherwise changed on your system between the time it worked and the time it didn't?
4) Have you tried a different compatibility mode? Running with administrative privileges?
5) When you say "double-click," are you referring to a shortcut to the game, or the actual executable? Have you checked the executable(s) located in the game's directory?

Reinstalling will usually resolve any issues from the game itself, so you most likely changed something on your system to cause this problem.

1) it's legit
2) A bunch. I ran the game successfully multiple times for a couple of weeks.
3) I really have no clue. It's probably been at least 2 months since the game has worked.
4) Yeah, I just tried that. Nothing changed. :\
5) I was doing it by the shortcut, but I just tried the exe from the directory, and the same thing happened.

Check fable forums for the similar problem.

Similar thing happened to me for Total War: Shogun 2. Turned out a settings file got corrupted when patching from one version to another, so you had to go into the local folder and delete or rename a .blob cache file or some other shit.

UndeadStar -- I wonder if that's what happened to me. A returned product (screen) was "officially lost" for a while before being found and refunded. Maybe it would have remained "lost" if I didn't communicate?
