So lately, within the past week battlenet seems to disconnect me every half hour or so. It is regardless if I am in lobby, channel or game. I know that this has been happening to several people as well. My cd key is legit and very old, possibly 98.

Someone has said that it is a battlenet bot kicking off all of the old cd keys.

If anyone has more information or a way to stop this it would be greatly appreciated.

👻 👾 👽 💪

I've not experienced any such thing, and my CD key is just as old. ;o
Is there anything interrupting your internet connection, maybe?
Are you using wireless?

Yeah, it's actually battle.net kicking massive amounts of users.. So far, everyone that I have seen this affect is people with older cd keys.

I'm guessing it's part of the new warden. It's happened to me a few times, though never ingame, and I have a pretty old cd key. I wonder if reinstalling SC with the digital key from blizzard would help...

SDE, BWAPI owner, hacker.

You're not using any third party programs?

This is happening to me and many of my friends. Except I don't think it's happening to my D2 friends. I have no idea why.

Mneox says its warden.

Anyways everything about my starcraft is legit, no 3rd party programs. It is not my connection.

:payne:

I use wireless and recently I also did encounter such a problem and it is -really- annoying :(
I was trying to discuss with MorphLing and it kept disconnecting us (but not at the same time).

Yeah, it was annoying. I also heard Clokr_ ranting about a glitchy warden. That's probably what it is.

Edit: My cd key is very old as well. The version that came with my Stacraft is 1.0b. :D

We live in a society.

It's happening to me too. It is the Warden updates. Instead of dropping actual hackers, they decided it's more fair to just drop everyone. Who can hack if nobody is online?

lol

What I cannot understand is why would blizzard leave a buggy Warden instead of temporally disable it until it is fixed? Looks like some idiot is in carge or something.

Just here for the activity... well not really

If old cdkeys are the problem, go register your key on battle.net, uninstall, and reinstall using the new key.

I'll try this in a sec, having comp problems.

Does anyone who has this happen to them NOT use trillian? I find that this only happened to me when trillain was running. It hasn't happened once to me when I turn trillian off.

I don't. And i had no IM or bot running at the time. I'll probably just reinstall with the digital key if it gets too annoying.

Yeah, this happens to me like 20 times a day. Very annoying. :-_-:

Dunno why, but for like 1 day this happened to me, then the Warden decided I was legit and hasn't happened since. No idea why.

This was happening to me alot yesterday, not so much today. It's really annoying when you're looking at your map and it disconnects you, because it just ruins the whole screen lol.

I left mine on for several hours and nothing happened. Maybe Warden has some error. Has anyone asked Blizzard? I'm curious to see what they say.

Quote
While the game is running, Warden uses operating system APIs collect information about certain software running on the user's computer (specifics outlined below) and sends it back to Blizzard servers as hash values to be compared to those of known cheating programs or simply as a yes/no response (whether a cheat was found).[1] Privacy advocates consider the program to be spyware.[2]

Oh noez, they be haxing us!

I've never had this problem with Diablo II, and my CD key is from the first release of the game... o.O?
