I was originally going to make this thread on Maplantis quite some time ago but I never got around to it. In here, just explain how you know about SEN/Maplantis. If it were a friend, someones link in there StarCraft profile or if you just stumbled on it one day.

I shall start this:

How did you learn about SEN/Maplantis?

Well to start off, I was playing a game one day quite some time ago on battle.net and met up with Wing-of-no-Wing and we played one of this maps. This was a Capture The Flag type style map where you used Terran Wraiths as your offending/defending players. It has a cool sound in it and I wanted to know where he got it from. I thought that he would be something like, "I downloaded it ad edited it." He stated that he downloaded the sound from SEN v4. I had no idea what SEN was at this time. Somehow from there I figured out about Maplantis and then I started an account. The rest is history... :)

What about you?

Dungeon Master

Was looking for answers to mapping questions a long time ago, found SEN in the process, noticed some topics (I think it was about EUDs, not entirely sure...) that I wanted to post in, so I registered. About 3 posts into my SEN career I decided to give modding a(nother) try. I've been around ever since.

You can sort of say the same thing about me. When I saw Maplantis, I made an account. I wanted to post my maps so that others can download them (obviously) so I did so.

Well, a long time ago, I'd gone onto B.Net and noticed that some UMS maps were cool. Somehow, I also knew of custom map editing software, and so started looking around for what I could find. Eventually, came to SEN, and decided to stay.
...
Or, I'm presuming my story's something like that.

I was at battleforum's first. Then someone posted something about Staredit.net and it got locked. I got curious so I visited SEN and made an account. I didn't really come into SEN until 1 month after when Battleforums got really annoying and people acted like retards.

Um, I think I was googling something SC-related way back when.. must have been a good 4 or 5 years ago.. and came upon SEN. The first to welcome me were Yoshi and then Tazzy, who began to refine my expertise in the ways of evil. And the rest, as they say, is history.

I was in one of those "OMG NEW MAP TEST" games, and the map kind of sucked, so I told the maker that I could help him, since I was a mapper. He told me that he knew about this great community full of mappers, and told me to go to staredit.net. I lurked for awhile, then finally got an account, and proceeded to post with typical internet-kid spelling (not lik dis, tho, i was smrt enuf to no that id look like a huge idit). I then noticed that everyone else was posting with proper English, so I did too. Hooray '05. ^^

I made my Doodan campaigns twice (yes, twice). The first time was in late 2004, and I ran into a triggering problem. I googled "starcraft map editing help" or something like that, and found staredit.net. I got the help I needed, finished my campaigns, and then about a month later the computer I made them on died and I lost everything (I didn't make back-up copies). In summer 2005, I decided to remake all of my maps. I looked up SEN again to refresh my memory on triggering, and to post my maps when I finished them. About 2 months after registering, I started looking at the forums and started posting, and here we are now. ;p

I think I was linked by my clanmate LeeJase, joined, and stayed. God, that was so long ago... back when SEN was still white.
