Back when Staredit was in its golden age in 2004, I read one of the most extensive thread/list of SC map making tricks and references. Probably because of the unstable nature of the Staredit.net being a target of hacking back then, I found this archive to be too valuable to lose, so I saved it to my hard drive. After forgetting for several years that I had saved it and reading rehashed tutorials on the resurrected SEN and Maplantis, I rediscovered this definitive guide to map making, so here it is uploaded for your convenience.

Zounds! Could it be? SeN before I joined?
Sighh, good old v3, back when this place was fun, enterprising and exciting All of that information was essentially assimilated into the Tutorial Database on v4, so it should all be in the tutorial archive. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "Three can keep a secret, if two are dead." -Benjamin Franklin

These all sound like exploits that SCM Draft makes common practice

When SEN was updated to Version 4.0 I think the new layout screwed up the threads display, So I abandoned the thread. Also I believe yoshi was working on replacing the thread with a tutorials section of SEN. There are a lot of very good tutorials out there that are much better than the ones featured here. Not to mention newly discovered techniques. But I'll always be fond of the all in one layout I created PS. Very cool that you saved the actually HTML file cause if you find the real thread in the SEN archives it will not look as nice. Edit: The original thread number was 1885 but I guess it was moved when it was linked to on the main page and all when it became really popular. So where it should be .. http://doodle77.dyndns.org/staticsen.php?st=1885 nothing is there. Edit2: Oh I just realized there were later versions after the one you saved. Towards the bottom I asked to come up with a list of common FAQ questions. I believe I did actually add that to the page as kind of a secondary navigation.\ Edit3. Found the text files that I saved the Post in. I doubt anyone wants to look thought it but here it is anyways. Edit4. If you compare the editing log file with the the one from the html link you can see there were 3 months of updates that after Drant saved the page.
